About

Full time Graphic Designer by day, Full time Creator of Happy, Fun Art by night

Hi! I'm an illustrator, graphic designer, & artist from NJ who loves bright colors, anything involving swirls, snowboarding, garlic, being outside, and hilarious people... but above all I consider myself extremely blessed to have the opportunity to work full time in the career that I went to school for (graphic design), while still also pursuing my own artistic ventures outside my job thanks to Etsy!

I knew my whole life that a career somehow focused on art would be the only way for me...I stuck to my guns despite all the naysayers of the world ("you're going to be a starving artist!") and worked hard to receive a BFA with honors in Graphic Design and couldn't be happier that I did! I now work full time for an international greeting card and gift company doing product development, graphic design, and illustration for them. Through my job, I've been able to also further explore & refine my own personal art & style, all while working alongside 2 other fabulous like-minded artists... Together, the 3 of us over the years realized that while we loved that we were working in our "field", we still needed a personal outlet to keep up our own un-hindered artistic expression. In the beginning, we weren't quite sure how to go about this. We decided to set our sights on creating enough art to be able to score ourselves a spot at a local street fair with the goal of getting just ONE person we didn't know to purchase something we had made. To keep ourselves motivated, we required that once a week we brought in "homework" for show & tell at the office and did a little critique of each piece. This proved incredibly motivating!

Then I discovered Etsy and its ability to reach a broad audience ANYtime...not just limited to the few times a year that I was able to haul my wares to local craft shows. Things just really blossomed from there... Now several years and much art created later, I am working to refine my vision and goals...

My overall goal is simple... I believe strongly that we are all connected and that the energy put out into the world therefore affects each of us in some way. With that in mind, any little bit each of us can do to create positive good happy healing energy is worthwhile... It's a butterfly effect. I hope to drop only good things into the pond that will make at least 1 person smile and feel that moment of excitement and inspiration, that can then ripple out and touch others. Ultimately I also hope to turn this positivity that my art is creating into something more concrete as well...this is where I'm at today.

But what I can say, is that it's been incredibly gratifying to hear the personal tales that I get from many of my customers of how a piece of work I've created has really moved them & brought them a bit of happiness. Being able to do this is work of the soul and I am so pleased to have the opportunity. If you've made it this far in reading my ramblings, you are to be commended :) and I sincerely thank you for your time and interest in my creations! Please do stay tuned for the many exciting things to come... I am determined to show the world that through art we really CAN change the world for the better. Thank you for joining me in this journey!
