Once again the quality is superb. Better than advertised. This dress is especially easy for a 5 year old to use.

The chosen fabric is gorgeous. Velcro fasteners are great. Incredibly accurate. Jessie's has made a real study of the subject. Beautifully made. Rapid shipping. Everything better than advertised.

Welcome to Green Mountain Garb's Etsy shop! Here you'll find a variety of historically-based sewn work. Check back often to see the selection expand.

I'm also happy to work with you to craft the ideal outfit for your needs - whether that's the right garb for your SCA persona to wear to Pennsic; a costume for your American history character to take to re-enactment events; a very special dress for your themed wedding; or the outfit that you would wear everyday if the universe had been designed with you in mind.

As a seamstress who has made the majority of my own clothes for years, I love having the freedom to look however I choose. I hope that by bringing centuries' worth of fashionable options within your reach, Green Mountain Garb will empower you to make your dreams wearable.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments that you might have!

I accept payment through PayPal. I am also willing to discuss payment by check or money order.

I will need to receive full payment before shipping.

For custom order items: I expect a 50% deposit up front before work on a custom project begins. The remaining 50% will be due upon project completion. I strongly encourage you to contact me to discuss your custom order before making any payment; since we will be working together to create an individualized garment, it's important for us both to understand each other's expectations. Please read my Additional Policies below for more about custom orders.

For ready-made items: I expect payment immediately following your purchase. Please convo me before purchasing if you need additional payment time or if you will be paying by check/money order. If payment is not received within 48 hours, I will convo the buyer to remind them that payment is due. If payment has not been received within 4 days from the initial order, then the order will be cancelled and the item re-listed unless a special arrangement has been made.
I ship via USPS within one to two days of receiving payment. If payment is received on Friday, your item will ship on Monday. If you require a different delivery service, please convo before you order.

Delivery confirmation is included with each purchase. All custom items are shipped insured. If you wish to add insurance to your purchase of a ready-made item, either convo me for a quote before purchasing or include your request in the 'message to seller' box on your order.

Owing to the complications of customs laws, I normally only ship within the USA. However, I am willing to discuss international orders on a case-by-case basis. If you wish to place an international order, please convo me before ordering.

It's important to me that your item arrives in good condition, and I won't risk sending a $1000 dress in a flimsy box. Quotes for shipping and packing materials are calculated on the high end of what it could cost; I will send refunds via paypal for shipping overcharges of $1 or more.
Refunds and Exchanges
If an item is lost by the delivery service, arrives damaged or is the wrong size, please convo me so we can work out an appropriate course of action. I am willing to work with you to resolve any issues that may arise.

I do not generally refund ready-made items, unless there is something physically wrong with them. Read the item description carefully, and feel free to ask questions before you buy.

Refunds or alterations for custom-made work are decided on a case-by-case basis. It is unlikely that the initial 50% deposit on custom orders will be refunded, as it largely goes for materials and will have already been spent. If you are dissatisfied with your custom garment and wish to return it, we can discuss the other 50%.

It is your responsibility to send correct and accurate measurements to ensure that the finished project will fit (I will send you exact instructions on how to do this). I do not assume responsibility for all fitting issues. However, if you are at all unhappy with how your garment fits, please do contact me to discuss the problem and we'll work out an appropriate course of action. Depending on the exact issue, I may be able to provide alterations to your garment or other assistance - it never hurts to ask!
Additional policies and FAQs
The photos displayed in my shop under the made-to-order listings show actual dresses that I have made in the past. Please keep in mind that the final product will vary from the photograph. When you place a custom order, you are purchasing an individualized, one-of-a-kind garment that will be constructed just for you, out of colors and fabrics that you help to select.

I am delighted to work with you on unique commissions. If you want all visible stitching done by hand for greater SCA authenticity, I'm happy to make that happen. If you already have a piece of fabric that you love, I can transform it into a wearable dress. I am always willing to provide you with a price quote and time estimate for unique commissions. Just convo me to begin a discussion about your special garment!

Once the details of a unique custom order have been determined, I will create a reserved listing for your specific project. As stated under Payment, custom orders require a 50% deposit before I will begin work on the project.

For any made-to-order or custom garment, I will send you exact instructions on how to take your measurements. The success of the finished garment will rely on the accuracy of the original measurements, so this is an important step in the ordering process.

It is my goal to provide well-fit, quality clothing, designed for your figure in a way that off-the-rack items can never be. This said, since I have not had the opportunity to fit the dress on you in person, it needs to be understood that there is a chance that you will still need to have your dress altered for a perfect fit. As stated under Refunds, I don't assume responsibility for all fitting issues; but I am always willing to work with you to determine an appropriate course of action if there is a problem. Your satisfaction is important to me, and I will undertake any reasonable measure to ensure that your garment fits you as well as possible.

Likewise, I do not provide any warranty or guarantees regarding length of wear; but my clothes are constructed to be worn. If a garment I've made suffers damage, feel free to contact me and see if there's anything I can do about the issue.

If you have any questions not addressed above, I'm just a convo away!
