Announcement   All owl-themed items are in their own section, Owl's Nest!

I am currently working on changing shipping info over to be more accurately based on actual US Postal Service shipping fees. This will ensure that I don't over or under charge you, which will benefit us both! If you have questions about shipping fees, or why some look different, feel free to message me. I'll answer as best I can!

Everything in my shop was handmade with love! Stones used in jewelry are handpicked to harmoniously blend natural energies of the stones, making them not only lovely to wear, but also full of purpose. Any bracelet can be transformed from a toggle clasp to elastic, free of charge! Be sure to note this in "notes to seller" if you want this done.

All of my tentacled plush creations now have their own shop! Visit www.squidsinc.etsy.com
For my fine lapidary and sterling silver jewelry, visit www.RockMagick.etsy.com

About

Compulsive Crafting

I have been crafting and making things just about my entire life. I learned much of my sewing and crafting skills from my mother. She learned from her mother, who learned from her own mother. My crafting is not just a skill, it is an heirloom treasure!

I am thankful that my mom encouraged creativity, and made sure we had craft supplies to make things. No matter how wild my idea, she let me at least give it a try. If it didn't work out, no worries. Hopefully I would learn something from the process.

Now, my crafting is unstoppable! If I have a spare moment, I'm probably working on something. My craft projects vary widely, so there's always something to do! It's not uncommon for me to try to get some sleep, or housework done, but some creative idea just won't let me rest until it at least gets written down and sketched out. I can't think of much else until that project gets underway. Once my brain child has been brought to fruition, I nearly burst with joy!

If I were allowed to craft unhindered, my house would quickly fill up with all sorts of handmade goodies. Since I can't keep everything I make, and there is no way I could stop crafting, I made the choice to sell my crafts!

I love making things with my hands. I love pushing my own creative boundaries and learning new skills. Sewing, beading, crochet, sculpting and drawing are only a few of my skills. When it comes to crafting, Nike had it right...JUST DO IT!!

Welcome to Green Owl Curiosity Shop! We offer all sorts of nifty handmade gifts, from beaded jewelry to awesome little pouches, and neat sparklies to dazzle your eyes!

I enjoy sewing and beading the most, and am a multi-talented artist. If there's a way for me to craft something combining my interests, I'll come up with a way to do it!

Most Green Owl crafts are only available online, with a couple of exceptions a year for vending. True Blue Fiber Friends (the most awesome yarn shop in Columbia, MO!) occasionally carries some of my zipper pouches, the ones just the right size for small yarn crafting tools. Some other treasures are available at Good Nature shop in downtown Columbia, MO.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
Paypal, direct checkout, and Etsy gift cards are accepted types of payment.

Orders are usually shipped within a couple days (no more than a week), once payment has been received and cleared. If, for some reason, payment is not received within one week of purchase, the sale will be voided and the item relisted.

Reserved listings will be held for 10 calendar days for you to decide whether or not you like the item. If the item is not purchased by the end of this period, the item will become available for public purchase.
Shipping
Shipping will be done through US Postal Service priority shipping or first class (depending on the item), estimated delivery approximately 2-3 business days. A delivery confirmation number will be emailed/convo'd after the item has been shipped, if one is available. Larger parcels will be shipped through US Postal Service.

International shipping is available, via US Postal Service priority or first class shipping. The US Postal Service does not offer delivery confirmation numbers for international shipping, but at least has a customs declaration number that shows the item has been shipped.
Refunds and Exchanges
If there are any issues with your item, please let us know within 5 business days of receiving your item (determined by the "delivery date" on your mailing/USPS tracking number). We will reasonably do our best to accommodate any issues you may have.

Any refunds will be given in the same manner in which payment was received, upon receipt of the returned item. Shipping fees will not be refunded. We reserve the right to re-list any returned item.
Additional policies and FAQs
*While some items are definitely one of a kind, other items are available in different colors. I have quite a bit of fabric and other supply stock to draw from. If I don't have it at home, chances are good that I may be able to find it at a local fabric shop. If you have a question, please feel free to convo me!

*Some have asked about the way I measure bracelets. Bracelets with toggle clasps are measured from the inside of the bar to the inside edge of the end of the ring part of the clasp. This is so the measurement reflects how big around the bracelet will be when the toggle is closed/clasped. Elastic bracelets are measured by where the elastic inside the beads lies.

*If you want a bracelet changed from toggle clasp to elastic, or the other way around, I'd be happy to do this for you! Just put your request in "notes to seller" when your purchase is made.

*I am open to making custom items! I like trying new things, and especially love when my work turns out to be *just* what someone was looking for! Once parameters are agreed upon, I'll send you a link for a "reserved" listing, just for you, using your Etsy user name. Work on your custom order will begin after payment has been received and cleared.
I will hold a reserved listing for 10 calendar days. If the item is not purchased by the end of that time, the listing will be deactivated. If you need more time, or things need to be changed, just let me know. I'm more than happy to work something out (within reason!).

*Also, I do hold the right to decline any custom requests, especially if it's copy-catting another artist's work!
