Phoenix rising from the ashes!

My father had started two business before Green Tree Jewelry: Redwood Unlimited and Heavy Hitter Industries. Redwood Unlimited encompassed custom redwood jobs around the Los Angeles area, such as decks, gazebos, etc. Then there was Heavy Hitter Industries, a company that had great success selling collectable and ad specialty baseball bats.

In the Fall of 2007, which was our busiest time of year, a tragedy occurred that we thought we may never recover from. Our barn, which was our little shop where we made everything happen, burned to the ground during the wild fires in San Diego that year, which were so devastating they made national news. The years following were a struggle, not only was rebuilding tough, but the financial crisis that we were still going through had taken its toll. We did everything we could to stay afloat, including going back to working craft shows and farmers markets, which is how my father originally started selling his wood craft.

My father and I were trying anything to get our family business on stable ground after the horrible wave of unfortunate events hit us. We created several products that never took off. One day at a Farmers Market in Ocean Beach, CA we were inspired by the idea of Laser Cut Wood Earrings. The following day my dad started prototyping different designs, woods, and processes for our new creation.

The rest is history and we've been growing ever since. We are now in several hundred locations around the country. Everyone at Green Tree™ is very proud of our product, not only for its Eco friendly aspects, but the fact that people have a USA made affordable fashion jewelry option to choose from.
