Go against the grain.

While anonymous, mass production is losing its market appeal, there's a growing movement towards owning things whose origins extend beyond an assembly line. Handmade objects have an inherent history as do the roots of the material. As the maker behind all things Greta de Parry, it's important that my hand shows through in each piece.

I'm a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a background in Sculpture, Designed Objects, & Graphic Illustration. In 2007 I was recruited as the sole artist in residence in a post-graduate woodworking and furniture making program affiliated with SAIC, and had the privilege to work alongside master woodworker, logger, craftsman, carpenter, musician, and all around awesome dude, Mr. Mike Jarvi.

During my residency I refined my formal skills by focusing on the fine art of woodworking and furniture making. I always knew if I did something I loved, passion would be my fuel and doors would open along the way.

Today I am thrilled and honored to be able to share my craft with you, and look forward to continue bringing you playful, beautiful, resourceful pieces that go against the grain.

Returns and exchange details
I'm happy to accept returns! Shipping and warehousing furniture is expensive and time consuming, so you're responsible for reimbursing us for the original cost of shipping to you (although we offer it for free, we will pass through the actual cost) as well as return shipping charges and a $25 restocking fee per item (max $100 per order). You're responsible for any damages on received items, and you can learn more and read all the fine print at https://www.gretadeparry.com/pages/policies.
Payment
All orders must be paid in full before shipment.
Shipping
All orders include ground shipping via FedEx / UPS to the Continental United States and require an adult signature (it can be someone else) to make sure your order gets safely into your hands. If you would like us to waive the signature, please include a note when placing the order. Otherwise, please be aware that after three unsuccessful delivery attempts, you may be required to pick up your items from a local location within five business days. Per our terms, if you aren't able to do that, you will be responsible for charges for them being shipped back to us and being re-shipped to you.

This likely will not happen, but we want you to be aware. Again, we can waive the signature requirement and the items will be left at your home, but you take full responsibility in the case of theft, etc.

If you require a different shipping service, please let me know in your order's notes and I will send a separate invoice for the price difference. If you are in Alaska or Hawaii and place an order under $1,500 I will reach out to you after your order to cover the cost of the shipping difference between the most expensive Continental US state and Alaska and Hawaii. If you aren't willing to accept that cost (typically around $100 per four stools or package) I do have the right to cancel the order.
