Welcome to Grey River Market! Here, you will find rustic handmade goods for your home, office, or anywhere else you can dream. I love quality, well-made, beautiful homemade, rustic décor items that tell a story. It's all about excellence and character: the richness of wood, its texture, the weave and swirl of the grain in the wood, the gorgeous colors revealed as stain is added to the knot of the wood. As a designer and marketer, my mind is always exploding with creative new ideas. Have an idea for a custom item not yet in the Grey River Market? Let me know! I've created dozens upon dozens of custom pieces. Thanks for dropping by!

5 out of 5 starsJust as listed; we have really enjoyed this simple elegant piece. It works best with candles on the fatter side rather than narrow. Happy with the craftsmanship!

Frequently asked questions
When will you drop my item in the post?
Your item will be handcrafted at the time of order. This means that I will craft, process, wrap, and ship your item sometime within 2-3 weeks.
Do you accept returns or exchanges? Do you cover the screws with wood putty?
I do not grant returns since these are handmade at the time of order. However, if there is the need for a return for some reason (damaged in the post), I will refund the cost of your item and the sales tax but not the shipping to get it to you or the cost of returning the item to me. These are HANDCRAFTED from wood. They will NOT be perfect and there may be some knots, small gaps, does not sit perfectly flat and level on the table...these are part of the rustic look and what happens with handmade. You can use small felt pads (easily found at a hardware store) to fix the leveling if it's not to your satisfaction.
Do you cover up the screw heads?
I do NOT cover up the screw heads with wood filler/wood putty. You can see this on all of the photos I have on my shop. : ) This is the style I use and don't accept returns if you don't like the screw heads showing on the handcrafted item. I don't like the way that the putty stains a slightly different color but DO like the more industrial look. The screws are brass unless I have screws to put a handle onto a caddy. Then, I use small black screws.
What if the item isn't perfectly level?
This happens with wood/lumber! You can purchase some small felt pads to stick onto the bottom to level. But, with paneling and other pieces of wood, there may be a bit of bend or twist that I do my best to control. However, it's nearly impossible to get this perfect, so you may need to head to ACE, Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, or Amazon to find some small pads to level it for your surface.
Why isn't the distressed white or whitewash REALLY, REALLY white?
There may be a slightly off-white/yellowish tint to your distressed white or whitewashed item. This is because I use a base of walnut stain, paint over with white paint, and then add two layers of polyurethane. It tends to pull some of the stain through the paint. I do NOT offer returns or refunds for this coloring.
