Announcement   Thank you for your interest in Grin & Wear It. I have felt the need to create all my life. I love to do it every day!

I started creating my characters when I was eight months pregnant with our second son. I enjoy seeing the personality of each emerge from the clay as they are completed. I rely heavily on the opinions of a two and six year old to see if each new design stays or is put back in the pile of clay. Each new design must make us laugh or its back to the drawing board.

I graduated from the College of Charleston in 1989 with a degree in Fine Arts. I have worked at the Gibbes Museum of Art and the Smithsonian Institute. I have taught elementary art and worked in arts & crafts retail for almost twenty years. I still love to paint and draw, but my boys love to be my “helpers” and spending as much time with them as possible is the most important thing to me. Life is too short to take ourselves too seriously and I love to make people laugh, or at least make them grin.

Thank you,
Georgi Wright
