Pottery - Wheel thrown or hand built at Grisen Studio.
Grisen is Danish for "pig". Grisen Studio is where we get dirty.
Margrethe has had a number of studios during her career as a potter. Grisen Studio is the first she has operated collaboratively with her husband, Greg. Also working with us is apprentice potter, Stacia, who is developing her own unique style.
In pottery circles clay is often referred to as mud. That is why we refer to Margrethe as Mudwat, and ourselves as Mud Chiggers. Whether you choose to buy Wat-work or Chigger-work, we're delighted to show you what we've been up to when we get down and dirty!
Margrethe and Greg are both now retired from the regular working world and loving life in the studio mud. It is a hobby that keeps us energized and creative.

Owner, Designer, Maker, Curator
I've had my own pottery studio for more than 20 years now. It began as a small corner of the garage, behind the car. Now the car sits outside and the entire garage is "Studio". Retirement means I can play in the mud all day long - a dream come true.
