About GrowingWildWoods

Sales 367
On Etsy since 2013

All GWW products are crafted from Oregon and domestic hardwoods in our workshop in McMinnville Oregon. Here, we work with the woods to create products that marry beauty and utility in equal measure to bring something special to your home. Our attention to detail creates smooth finished surfaces that shine but can handle daily use and are easily maintained with light hand-washing and reapplications of walnut oil or any butcher block oil.. Though we have a signature style, no two pieces are the same.

We use many varieties of wood and each board has anywhere from 3to5 different kinds of wood used within it to create striking and interesting designs. Some of the woods your board might have are:

Black Walnut
English Walnut
Oregon White Oak
Red Oak
Big Leaf Maple
Fruit Woods (Apple, Cherry, Plum)

Bring something special to the table, bring some home today.

Care instructions

Congratulations! You now own a unique, hand-crafted piece of Growing Wild Wood. Our products are intended for use, and with just a few simple care steps, they will maintain their beauty while providing you with high functionality. We use, and recommend, food-grade walnut oil for upkeep on your wood piece. Since our products do not have a hard plastic based finish, they will dull over time, but can easily be made to shine again with a simple oiling. The more oil, the better. Simply wash with soap and water--never put in the dish washer--and oil as often as you like. Often, even a highly used and worn board looks new with an oiling. We do not recommend using any other vegetables oils,
