This Yunomi is absolutely beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice.

Have purchased more than one of Jeff's chawans, each one is stunning. I could not imagine my morning tea ritual without one of his tea bowls. Fast shipper. Thank you!

This came on time, and caringly packed. It's even more beautiful than i expected.

I bought two stoneware mugs from Jeff, both of which are beautiful. Refer to my review of his similar, grey mug for more details. This mug, in particular, has lovely contrast between the inside and outside, and the transitions of color in the glaze are wonderful. I'll be looking for more things he makes with this glaze and slip treatment.

I ordered two mugs from Jeff. Later that day I placed an Amazon Prime order. His mugs got to my house first. The packaging was beautiful and his pictures perfectly matched what I received. Jeff throws thin, sturdy, well-balanced mugs that are a pleasure to use. His pulled handles are probably the most comfortable I've ever found. There are no sharp spots to the slip decoration on this mug and it doesn't feel appreciably heavier despite the extra weight. The inside is still smooth and easy to clean (with some nice throwing lines as well). He trimmed a ring into the base, but it still feels very stable when filled with tea. The glazing looks even better in person and has a kind of lovely softness. I'm looking forward to whatever he makes next.

About

Handmade Functional Pottery from Pittsburgh

I started working at an arts center some years ago, and shortly there after I started making pottery. I've been fortunate enough to work alongside some great artists and learn from a variety of master potters. Early in my ceramics journey I spent a month in close contact with a 14th generation Japanese potter who specialized in tea ware.

As a result, I'm highly influenced by Japanese pottery, and I am a student of Japanese tea ceremony (licensed by the Urasenke school). I also enjoy creating a variety of utilitarian forms and I occasionally create very commercial-oriented pieces that incorporate ceramic decals.

My mentors include the executive director of NCECA, the founder of Manchester Craftsmen's Guild, one unbelievably knowledgable graduate of Alfred University, and a professor we affectionately call Greeny.

*I'm also on Etsy as Jeff Guerrero with a shop named GuerreroDesign where I sell laser cut wood lamps and more.
