I absolutely adore my skirt! Seller is wonderful to work with! She truly takes pride in her work and in ensuring that I would be happy with the final product.... which I most definitely was :) Thank you

Absolutely beautiful custom quilt! Mysti asked me for information on what I wanted, then found material that fit the colors and style of the room. The quilt looks like it was made for my bedroom - because it was! She did a very nice sewing job as well, using all upcycled material. My husband was really imrpessed with it too. Unique and beautiful item!

About

Poor Little West Virginian Mountain Mama Moves to L.A.!!!!

My story....hmmm, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my mother's love and bravery. She ran away in 1971 when she was 17 because no one wanted her to keep me. She hitch hiked to Washington State with me in her belly, she slept in the snow with her german shephard and somehow we made it out of that situation alive. That was just the beginning lol. We lived like gypsies, always on the run. She was beautiful. I loved her with all my heart and soul. We were poor but we made do with what we had. She'd collect buttons, lace trimmings, patches, beautiful material, and she made our clothes. She even made my baby food, no sugar or processed foods for me. We foraged for a lot of what we ate and needed. It made me who I am today. Id make my own doll clothes and a few things for myself. I always had defective sewing machines, but about 10yrs ago she got me a brand new machine and it sewed like a dream! So I started upcycling everything! I recruited my little sister to wear my thrift store finds and I took pics hoping to sell them online. Then I found ETSY. It was where I belonged.
Ive been here since 09 I think, and it's been slow for me but I kept at it. I dont fit in society's box so this has been my only income for years. But THIS is my year! Out of nowhere I got sponsored on Facebook and he's been promoting my business like crazy and teaching me how to succeed at this. It's starting to come together. Upcycling is very popular now with the damage to our environment becoming more obvious. My time has come :)
We struggle so bad here in WV, if you dont work in the coal mines or for oil and gas fracking you suffer. I refuse to damage this Earth. Nature took care of my mom and I for so long, it fed us and protected us. We didnt need much money, the Earth provided.
Now I'm a mom and I have to provide. There arent enough opportunities here for my husband and I so we are moving. My dad lives outside Los Angeles and he asked us to come try it out. I've lived 3,000 miles away from my dad my entire 42 years. I've got some holes in my heart to mend and some quilts and skirts to mend as well lol Stay tuned, this is going to get interesting :) Love you all for your support over the years! Mysti

I grew up poor in WV so I had to make do with what I had. Buying new never made sense to me when there were plenty of things around to upcycle. Now I support my family turning waste into beautiful clothing and quilts.

I've been an Ebay member since 2003, mostly selling things I acquired at flea markets and thrift stores. I live to create different kinds of art, love revamping vintage clothing, and reducing & reusing things people discard. I enjoy giving them a new life. :) For years I've collected odd treasures; boxes of marble factory glass, fabric, rocks, shells, driftwood, feathers and things we find while traversing the Appalachian mountain range. We delve deep into the wild, and bring it's essence back to you.
I've started making clothing and encourage custom orders. Also I make patchwork quilts. Custom listings are on my page. Message me any questions you may have, I am quick to answer. Thanks for checking out my page! Have a beautiful day :)

Payment
Communication is key! We can work anything out. Payment is appreciated within 48 hours. Please let me know if you need an extention. I consider best offers, so if there is something you are interested in, just ask and if it's something that has been listed for a while I can take a little off the price. Thank you!
Shipping
US buyers; Parcel post (cheapest-up to 7 days), or Priority mail (2-3 days)~ both with FREE delivery confirmation so we will have a tracking number. Insurance optional, but recommended. I cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen mail. My shipping log is proof of shipment.
International shipping info; First class international is what I normally use.
Insurance and delivery confirmation is not offered by the U.S.P.S for international mail with first class shipping. It might be offered with priority, altogether a much higher price. My buyers haven't ever opted for it. So far my international experience has been good, 8-9 days, and no lost mail. Please wait for me to calculate international shipping by your location, before paying.
Refunds and Exchanges
I do offer refunds of purchase price, buyer pays return shipping. A small fee will be added to relist. I'm happy when you're happy, so please ask questions before buying. I respond quickly.
Additional policies and FAQs
I look over my vintage items thoruoughly, up close and personally, but may miss something. I include flaws, however small, so you get the best mental picture I can describe. Etsy isn't just a hobby for my husband and I, it's a living~ a modest and enjoyable one. Check my feedback, my customers are Happy! :-D
