Let me introduce myself as a creative. I film, paint, design, sew, play music, inker... and as one can guess I have a tough time staying on anyone medium for any length of time. I've made shoes, skirts, and painted hoodies.

There's a story behind my latest creative obsession, guitar strings. I played guitar in college, but before moving across the country to join AmeriCorps VISTA, I gave away both of my sweet little guitars to two people who were going to put them to good use. Fast forward four years. A friend purchased a used guitar and gives me her old one (aptly named Arbor Mist), with two caveats: I had to play it and when I purchased a new guitar, I had to give this one away. 18 months later was touring around Northeast, TN and fell in love with a very sweet little bluegrass guitar. I knew just who bequeath Arbor Mist to. I changed the strings before giving it to her, and the remnants just hung around my house for a few days. Lightning struck and I decided to upcycle them. Add a few pickers and players into the equation and viola! Guitar string jewelry.
