Not completely pleased with the quality of workmanship on the product I received even though it was a redo of a previous custom order (which was perfect). The shop owner offered a refund which I declined because I needed the product and not the money. Will make do with what I received.

This clover charm is wonderful, and I received it in a flash (and had to wait to leave feedback). The seller is great, and I'll be back soon.

The Road to Jewelry Designer

When I was no longer a curator, I decided to take classes at our local art center. Since I love wearing jewelry, I thought a metalsmithing class would be a nice start.

I was surprised to discover I had a real talent for creating jewelry. Talent is one thing, execution is another. So began my classes in jewelry design.

After the metalsmithing course, I took courses in precious metal clay (fine silver) and loved them. I decided to keep learning and went on to soldering, designing, enameling, texturing and stone setting classes.

After completing those classes, I decided to obtain my precious metal clay certification. That entailed classes designed to teach techniques that were more difficult than I had learned in class.

Once I received my certification, I decided to sell on Etsy, since it was the only handmade site that came highly recommended.

I am a prize winning jewelry designer who creates pendant necklaces and fine silver pendants. My handmade designer jewelry, silver pendants and copper pendants are all designed and created by me.

My jewelry has won numerous prizes, the most recent for a fine silver pendant that took first prize in "And the Design Winner Is" contest, whose judges are from the Project Runway television show.

I have been selling on this site for two years.

I also do shows, sell in local shops and from my home.

Pendants are my specialty. I love wearing them and can't resist the challenge of creating one of a kind pendants in all different styles and techniques. I have even added a little beading on a few.

I like to keep learning, because there is always new techniques that will continue to broaden my skills.

I love to do custom work, but I do not duplicate pieces. I want my customers to be able to say that no one has the jewelry they are wearing.

It gives me a great thrill to see my customers wearing my jewelry, especially when they tell me they received compliments.

Additional policies and FAQs
All Precious Metal Clay Jewelry:

Fine Silver PMC is recycled silver in a clay form. This process allows the jeweler to mold, shape, cut and design the surface before firing it in a kiln where it is turned into pure silver (99.9%). The process allows for surface decoration that is almost impossible to achieve using available metalsmithing techniques. Once fired, the piece can be patinated (often with liver of sulfur) and then burnished to create a darker area in the recessed surfaces. The result is a piece of jewelry that would be very difficult to find in any jewelry store where the main silver sold is sterling silver (92.5%).

I would be happy to consider a custom order and work with you to create the piece that will make you happy. All items are handmade, so no two items are identical. That is the beauty of handmade jewelry. There will be slight variances from the photos in made-to-order jewelry.
