Our Story

I’m Vicky, the indie dyer behind Hot Magenta Yarn Company. What started as a kitchen table experiment. One skein dipped into unexpectedly bright color grew into a small batch dye studio in Phoenix, Arizona.

I hand dye every skein myself, inspired by desert light, bold palettes, and the joy of making. My process blends chemistry and intuition: careful measurements, documented recipes, and a little magic that happens when dye meets fiber.

I believe in transparency, craftsmanship, and colorways that spark possibility. Whether you’re knitting your first project or designing heirloom colorwork, I hope my yarns feel like an invitation to create something you love.
