My husband is vegan and thinks these are the best vegan cookies he's ever eaten. They are deliciously flavorful and pair really well with tea, coffee or simply as a snack. These usually don't last very long in our household (see evidence above). We received our box last weekend and this is how many were left by Monday.

My whole family absolutely loves these cookies. They are delicious, delicate, not too sweet and pair perfectly with a cup of tea in the morning or afternoon. Eating them reminds me of my childhood, when I used to dunk these kinds of cookies in my morning cup of sweet chai with milk in my haboabas (grandmother's) house. They're an authentic but lighter version of those cookies. My husband, who is vegan, loves the vegan ones and usually devours them so quickly, that the rest of us barely get to enjoy them.

Crispy, lightly sweet & delicious- what’s not to like about them? I like that I get to indulge in a treat that’s relatively healthy; my 15 year old just says they are “dummy good”! Do yourself a favor and order the larger 50 cookies box - they disappear very quickly!

Sooooo yummy and crunchy! I was able to hide away a few cookies from my kids! Enjoying them very much with a cup off coffee at my “me” time. They are not too sweet, just perfect for my liking with just right amount of crunchiness. Will order these again!

From teenagers to grandparents my whole family enjoyed the classic tea biscuits. They disappeared quickly and were delicious on their own as well as with tea. I like that they aren’t too sweet and have a lovely texture. Will be ordering them again!

Unique small-batch handmade cookies based on the traditional Sudanese recipe, passed down to me by my “haboaba”

Haboaba is the term of endearment for Grandma in my country of origin of Sudan. I named this shop Haboaba's Kitchen as a tribute to my grandmother because the original recipe for my handmade cookies has been passed down through generations, starting with my grandmother to my mother and 6 aunts, who are are all exceptional cooks and bakers.

I refer to the cookies as tea biscuits because traditionally (and to this day) they are served with morning or afternoon tea. These biscuits were ever present in our house growing up. My mother, who was the first in her family to go to college and have a career, always made a large batch, especially since the cookies have a long shelf-life of several weeks. Not that they ever lasted that long! Between myself and my brothers and all our friends, we went through them very quickly!

Decades later, I have run into childhood friends who still remembered these cookies and asked for the recipe! Try them for yourself - I promise that you will be in for a treat 😊
