Ooo, I love my mat! It's so lovely and rustic and natural looking. I did have to buy a non-slip may thing for underneath as it kept slipping and it works a treat now.

About

From animal to garment

Once I purchased my first alpaca, I decided I needed to learn to Spin and weave. Being a tailor by trade, it wasn't a huge leap for me. I took to spinning pretty quickly, but weaving was another story. However, I finally had an "Ah Ha" moment, and now I have 4 looms and weave much more than I spin. I'm also an avid knitter, but most of my knitting is time spent knitting samples of our Hand Dyed Alpaca yarn.
Having only 12 alpacas, and being that I like to leave MY animals fiber as natural colors, we decided to import some beautiful WHITE 100% baby alpaca yarn from Peru. We take that yarn and hand paint it into various color ways. These yarns can be used for knitting or weaving.

I've done many fiber shows for years selling my yarns and fibers, but decided to try to expand my customer base by selling finished goods as well. I hope you like what you see.

I'm home to 12 alpacas, and shear them yearly to use their soft warm fiber to make clothing & accessories. Alpaca is warmer & softer than wool - most who are allergic to wool CAN wear alpaca without issues. I love alpaca but work w/other fibers too
