Really pleased with my new diary which is beautifully made, great design and a size just right for day to day. I have had more than one notebook from this seller and have to say the quality is amazing. Highly recommended!

The arrival time was delayed due to christmastime international postage, but when it arrived it came in great condition! Beautifully wrapped, and I was so happy with the cute, dainty diary that I am going to use for my studies this year. Thank you!
Books, books, books!
I first started making books in 2002 - starting out with a three year degree in Book Arts and Crafts in London, and then working in a London bindery as an apprentice for a year after that, to learn my craft.
Sketch & Note started out as Hand Made Books in 2007, when I set up my own bindery developing a range of notebooks and diaries, all hand made using traditional bookbinding techniques, using some really unusual recycled papers inside and a wide range of design materials for the outside. I used maps, comics, all sorts of decorative papers - whatever caught my eye. In 2008 I moved my studio into the New Brewery Arts Centre in Cirencester and had several happy years there, making books and spending time learning from other amazing makers who also had studio space there and I loved being part of such a creative community.
However, after many years of making my books by hand, I developed chronic RSI in both my arms which left me with no option but to stop working to allow them to rest and (hopefully) recuperate, which meant packing my workshop up for a while.
After two long years, I have found a route to get back to making my books - in a new way. No longer can I use the 'traditional' methods to create my books - so I have embraced the magic of wire binding! I am so proud that my books are designed, built and created by me and I hope they will be enjoyed and used by everyone with a need to sketch and note!
