About

Designing jewelry helps to bring smiles and relaxation to my body, mind and soul despite living with a chronic pain syndrome~~ CRPS!

Where to begin..."Don't Let Your ABILITIES be Dimmed by Your dis-Abilities."

I am a wife, daughter, aunty, friend and a mentor to many who loves to smile, enjoys the outdoors and has a huge creative side.

In a split second, 17 years ago working as a nurse and in the job of my dreams, I was injured, crushed my Sural nerve and that ended my 25+ year nursing career! Where is your Sural nerve you ask?... right behind your ankle bone. A horrible sound and excruciating pains rushed upon me and within seconds that life as an overachiever, who barely slowed to enjoy all of what God had blessed me with came to a screeching halt! That moment, that minute, that hour, that day and that month changed who I was physically and what I would be able to do from that point on. Almost immediately after my injury I noticed the all too familiar color and temperature changes and 24/7 "fire-poker" type pains that accompany this beast they now call Complex Regional Pain Syndrome/ CRPS, which is a relentless, chronic nerve pain syndrome. There is NO cure and there is NO permanent treatment for CRPS/RSD! It is what IT is and finding a treatment to help you cope and live with your pain is often not available. There are a few that go into remission with certain treatments and for those that that happens to-- they cherish those moments! As we all are uniquely created we ALL react differently to treatments and or procedures and what works for one doesn't mean it Will work for another.

One of my goals is to con't to Raise Awareness of what myself and others with this diagnosis go through on a daily basis; thus one of the reasons for designing Handcrafted Awareness Jewelry and More. Yearly, I will donate a portion of the proceeds from my CRPS/RSD Awareness Designs to research and/or to help another who endures this disease on a daily basis.

I find joys, smiles and rays of sunshine in the littlest things around me and what a beautiful feeling that is! My faith with a positive attitude and living with HOPE is what keeps me moving and grooving in this journey.

"Life Isn’t About How You Survive The Storm, But How You Dance In The Rain.”

Blessings of Peace and HOPE,
Handcrafted Awareness Jewelry.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

I enjoy working with you the customer on personalizing a design. Most of my designs can be customized to meet your needs by using different colors, stones, beads, leather and charms that I have in stock.

A $20.00 non-refundable deposit to start a customized order is required. I will photograph and do 3 changes only to the design you have requested. Once you choose from those, what you are wanting, full payment is expected before your order is completed.

You are responsible for correct sizing for your jewelry request. Bracelets are made between .25"-.50" larger if you give wrist measurement vs a bracelet length that you want.

Please ask if you have any other questions about personalizing an order.

Sizing details

How to determine the length for a necklace and bracelet:

Necklace Length Guide:
~16" Choker.
~18" Princess length, at collarbone.
~20" Just below collarbone.
~22" At/or above neckline.
~24" Below neckline.
~30" Below bust line.
OR
Measure your favorite necklace to find the length you like to wear.

Bracelet Size Guide: Woman's Sizes:
~6.5" Small.
~7" Medium.

OR
1. To Measure Your Wrist:
Wrap a flexible measuring tape or piece of string around your wrist right above the bone. If using string, mark it where the end meets then measure it with a ruler.

You are responsible for ordering correct sizing.

Care instructions

These are general guidelines that I recommend to help keep your jewelry staying and looking nice for a long time.

~Remove your jewelry before showering or bathing. Soap scum will build up on your jewelry and in time make it dull and dingy.

~Never wear your jewelry in chlorinated water. Chlorine interacts with metals and can ruin your jewelry piece very quickly.

~Jewelry polishing cloths work well to clean all jewelry. Using a paper towel or tissue can scratch your jewelry.

~Store your jewelry in an airtight bag or using an anti-tarnish strip as this will reduce the chance for it to tarnish.
