Well, I'm a creative navy-vet, single mom. I'm always admiring craftwork on Pinterest and decided to jump on in and give it a try. I started with a head wreath made with ornaments, then with mesh. Then Covid-19 took over NYC and out of anxiousness, I added face masks because I couldn't find any mask for my 4 yr old anywhere. And I'm always on Amazon! I choose to add a filter pocket for extra protection. People in my neighborhood would see his masks when we go essential shopping and ask where I purchased it. And that's how it started for me. My selection in fabric is few because of how long it takes to receive material in the mail. But the masks are made of cotton, they're light and breathable. As for wreaths, it takes me an average of 3-5 days to make one wreath. No, I'm not an instructor or expert and would never claim to be. But I enjoy it. This choice of occupational therapy/2nd job is great for my anxiety. I love knowing that something I created will bring a smile to a loved one's face who it is being handmade for. And most importantly, they are handmade just for you and your family.
