Once upon a time...
A little girl became older and her frustration became bolder
For no purse adequately catered to her needs
Somewhere for her love notes and mementoes
Her powder room essentials
Her compact, her mobile or keys
So one day she decided enough was enough
This problem needed to be solved
And she made a purse of adequate size
Elegant and stylish, witty and wise
She called it her HandyMandy purse
Neither a coin purse nor wallet it be
It’s a special kind of purse she said
It keeps safe the things that are important to me

I live in the beautiful coastal town of Southport in the North West of England and founded HandyMandy Purses in 2014.
For some inexplicable reason, even my beautiful mother couldn't fathom, I have ALWAYS loved purses. With age came my mission: to make purses that were beautiful and unique emanating style, quality and luxury as well as practicality. After countless hours of designing, sewing and test driving I think I have accomplished what I set out to do with HandyMandy Purses.

When I was a little girl my first significant purchase was a tiny little purse from my local sweet shop. Then I found it was so tiny I couldn’t actually put any money in it. I guess looking back that marked the foundation of HandyMandy Purses.
