Hannahs Homestead, a family endeavor, from beginning to end.

Hannahs Homestead began when a friend asked me to crochet a pair of baby booties for her grandchild. Up until then, most of my work was for my own use or for gifts. After that, I wondered if there might be more interest in handcrafted items. After posting an ad on Facebook, the booties became a huge success. With some prompting from a friend, I started my own Facebook Fan page, and soon after that opened my Etsy store.

Most of my listings start when someone asks me,"Can you make something like this for me?" Then, if I cannot find a pattern for the item, I write my own pattern.

I love good quality items and good quality yarn and materials. I want my customers to be happy about using and wearing the items I create. I feel that if an item is worth my time creating, it is also worth using high quality materials.

My daughters are joining alongside me, creating and now, beginning to design as well.It gives me a lot of joy to see them interested in learning to create and to see them becoming more and more skilled in creating.
