Don’t you love receiving a hand made card in the mail, or with a gift?
I’ve always had a love of well made, handmade items. Hann made with love has come about as a combination of my love of paper craft and my life-long love of all things sentimental and heartfelt.
As for the shop name, how could I resist using this play on my last name? It makes me smile every time I see it, and people smile when I tell them about it.
I like to use subtle details like embossing and layering, and I’m fussy about cleanly cut card edges, neat folds and glue that sticks - which is harder than you might think in the Aussie summer heat!
2015 has seen me streamline the shop while I adjust to returning to uni after a very long break, and I've added DIY card kits as a trial. See what you think.
Life essentials for me are: old school Jazz, anything to do with roses, and a well made pot of tea. I find it hard to resist buying handmade soap, pottery and jewellery.

Australia post now has two different postal standards: regular and priority. I send by regular postage which can take up to 6 working days.
All mail is sent unregistered and can't be tracked.
You can now upgrade to registered mail for domestic letters (ie signature on delivery but no tracking) or tracked mail for domestic parcels ( you can track your parcel in transit). You only need to add the upgrade once, it will cover the whole order no matter how many items you buy.
Please note that I am not responsible for replacing lost orders which are sent via unregistered or untracked mail, for items which are delayed by Australia Post or for items returned to me marked ' address unknown' or similar.
International postage takes up to 10 working days, but may take longer if your country delays processing for customs or due to bad weather. US customers can speed up delivery by ensuring their address shows their FULL zip code, ie the whole 9 numbers.
Standard International Airmail is NOT tracked. International tracking is expensive, however please ask if you would like a quote for international tracking. Please note that I am not responsible for replacing lost orders which are sent via unregistered or untracked mail, for items which are delayed by your country's customs process, or for items returned to me marked ' address unknown' or similar.
**ORDERS FOR LARGE AMOUNTS - PLEASE READ! **
Both Australian and international postage is calculated by weight and thickness.
Under 50mm thickness, International postage is calculated at either
1- 50g (1 card weight)= $2.90
50 - 250g (about 5 cards and envelopes) = $7.40
250 - 500g= (around 10 cards and envelopes) $16.50
Above this = package rates = much higher cost, as outlined below.
POSTAGE RATES FOR BULK ORDERS
50 embossed, bird or leaf cards with 50 envelopes plus packaging weight.
= approx. 750g
to deliver in Australia would cost approx $13.00
international delivery air mail would cost approx $31.00
BRANDING AND PACKAGING MATERIALS
All cards have a small sticker on the back with the business name and contact details. Items are sent in large envelopes to keep postage costs to a minimum. I usually add recycled cardboard (eg cereal boxes) for added mailing protection. I only use Australian Forestry Standard or recycled packaging. All cards come with AFS envelopes and are sealed in a clear cellophane sleeve. Cellophane is biodegradable.
Refunds and Exchanges
I will replace or refund items sent by registered mail/ tracked mail if these are not delivered. Please note, however, that I am not responsible for replacing delayed or lost orders which are sent via standard unregistered / untracked mail, for items which are delayed by US customs intervention or for items returned to me marked ' address unknown' or similar.
I encourage you to use the shipping upgrade option for domestic orders, or to ask for a custom order with registered mail / tracking / signature on delivery (depending on the destination country) if you are placing a large international order, or if your postal system is not reliable.
