Stephani is a very considerate shop owner. She helped me choose the exact candle for each person receiving it as a gift. She poured each one fresh and quickly. She even recommended a scent for them. Then she wrapped each one beautifully. Stephani obviously cares about her customer’s satisfaction. I would definitely buy again from her in the future!

About

If you don't find the perfect candle already in my shop, I will make it for you.

Welcome to my shop! My candles are creations of love and imagination. I use recycled jars and containers whenever possible, along with vintage containers, tea and coffee cup sets, Depression glass and crystal containers...and anything else I can find to design a unique accessory for your personality and your environment. Please take a moment to look around. I'm sure you will find just the right candle for yourself or for a gift for someone special! If you don't find one already made, I will be happy to make one just for you.

I've been a creator of art my entire life. I was always busy making or decorating something, using, recycling and repurposing whatever materials I found around me. I even made candles as a child, melting paraffin wax in a soup can double boiler with my mom's help and adding crayons for color. I gave my creations as gifts and they were always appreciated.

As an adult, health issues caused me to leave the traditional job market. Soon I began creating things again with any materials that could be attached to other materials. This is also how I decorate my home. I used to have the supreme pleasure of shopping with my dad in those giant Midwest flea markets and antique or thrift shops for goodies I could use to create with or create on. Sadly, my dad passed away but his spirit is with me as I continue to comb through other people's "junk." It's like diamonds to me. He was always surprised at the amazing, unique creations I produced out of the treasures I found on our road trips.

Eventually, I decided that I wanted an online shop and Etsy was the perfect forum for me. When I first opened my shop I had a totally different type of item in each section...it was like a variety store of my different interests.

One of the items I was making was embellished, recycled and reconstructed candle holders. I used all kinds of found objects and many of the yummies I had purchased on Etsy previously. This is my current favorite creative outlet (when I'm not redesigning some room in my home).

I specialize in what I call 3-D Collage ~ I’ll attach anything to anything with anything! I love a large variety of materials and I especially enjoy using them in ways other than that for which they are usually intended ~ and often “Happy Accidents” occur when I least expect them! That really gets my creative juices going! The result can be a single item, a set or a vignette, but it’s always a “one of a kind.” I apply this process to candles and candle holders in this shop. Many of my candles are the result of looking at an obstacle to what I am trying to create as a challenge. I try different things and figure out another way to make my vision a reality. Sometimes, I find a solution quickly but often the candle will go in a whole new direction. I don't try to force a result. I work more organically and the result is better than my original vision. A Happy Accident occurs! Sometimes it's as simple as a misplaced or unintended embellishment that changes the whole feel of the candle. I just go with the new flow.

I also try to apply this same philosophy to my life. Instead of looking at life's problems or obstacles as negative situations that I can't overcome, I try to approach it creatively. I look at is a a challenge to be solved with a positive outcome by stepping back and looking at the parts...is there any part of this situation that I can change to make it better? Often, the solution creates a "Happy Accident" where a potentially negative situation became a positive one.

A few years ago I began individually hand pouring homemade soy wax candles into my unique creations. I also stated pouring candles into other previously used or Vintage containers. I like to reuse containers as much as possible, although some of them are new.

I have received tremendous feedback about how appreciated the Specialty, Embellished and Vintage Glass and Crystal candles are as gifts. You might not think of buying one for yourself...but others LOVE receiving them!

I'm also open to any custom requests. Just send me a message and I'll see what I can do for you! 100% satisfaction is guaranteed on all of my candles.

I've always created art out of what could be found around me. Some were gifts but most were just for fun. Having an Etsy shop allows me to stretch my creative wings as far as they can spread, have a lot of fun while I'm doing it & make new friends!
