Announcement   Welcome to HappyinDoleValley! My family likes to buy and support local, so not only is everything offered in my shop handcrafted or grown on my family's small homestead in the Cascade foothills of SW Washington, but we do our best to source those things we cannot grow or make ourselves from others in the Pacific Northwest. For a window into my world, visit my blog: www.happyindolevalley.blogspot.com or Instagram: DoleValleyGirl :)

{ORIGINAL KNITS}

Every hand-knit and crocheted item in the shop is crafted from my original designs & patterns. Special orders are always welcome; please allow sufficient time for project completion and shipping. New knit patterns are always in the process of being written as time allows, so keep a watch for new pattern PDFs as they become available.

{NATURAL SOAPS}

Our soaps are handcrafted in small batches using only the finest ingredients:

**Nourishing oils such as olive, coconut, palm, sweet almond, cocoa butter, etc.
**Organic additives such as oats, beeswax & homegrown chamomile & lavender
**Essential oils for fragrance & healing benefits

Special orders are always welcome!

{BEESWAX CANDLES}

Hand-rolled beeswax candles are a fixture in my home; they look rustic and smell amazing when lit. Beeswax burns clean and is safe for use in homes with asthmatic children (this I know from experience). I use natural beeswax for all my candles except for my Advent Candles which are created with purple & pink dyed beeswax. :)

{ORGANIC LAVENDER}

I love lavender! Growing it, harvesting it, and decorating with it. :) All the lavender sold in my shop is grown here on the homestead & is limited to what is harvested each year. After cutting, stems are dried and then tied into bundles to sell in the shop. Loose buds are used in my natural lavender soap, so nothing goes to waste. Fragrant lavender sachets as well as loose buds for your crafting uses are coming soon!

{...AND MORE}

You'll find limited edition, seasonal & whimsical craftiness here in the shop as well...

washcloths to pair with our soaps for gifting
aromatherapy sprays for body and home
hand-crafted hair clips
home-brewed vanilla extract
knitting project bags
stitch/row markers for knitting
upcycled wine cork & microbrew cap magnets
"flowers that won't fade" crocheted flower corsage/brooches

{COMING SOON}

what will inspire in the days to come? stay tuned and find out!

Thanks for visiting & for supporting homemade!

Be happy. :)

About

Welcome to Happy in Dole Valley :)

I love to knit and crochet and began years and years ago when I was taught by my dear grandma who crocheted well into her 80s. But how did I wind up as an Etsy shop owner?

I guess it all began a few years ago when some friends and I got together and shared a table at a local holiday bazaar. The selling bug bit me, and here I am. :)

Because I'm a wife and mom first, I don't always have the time I'd like to dedicate to creating and designing, but I'm ok with that -- to everything, there is a season.

Future goals include finishing and publishing a number of knit and crochet patterns to offer for sale here on Etsy!

Stay tuned...

Shipping
Depending on package weight, all ready-to-ship orders are shipped via USPS First Class or US Priority Mail within 3-5 business days. Please allow extra time for made-to-order items.

Because we like to recycle packaging materials, it is likely your order will arrive in a previously-used shipping box -- but be assured your order will be securely packed so that your purchase arrives just as you would like it to! :)

If you need your order to ship sooner or to be delivered more quickly than standard USPS First Class, please send us an Etsy convo before ordering so that an adjusted listing can be posted for you using USPS 2-Day Priority Mail; additional shipping costs to be paid by you, the buyer.

In addition, if you would like to add insurance or delivery confirmation for your purchase, please send us an Etsy convo before placing your order as this will require additional cost to you, the buyer.
Refunds and Exchanges
We do our best to accurately describe the items we sell -- please read the listings carefully before buying. If the item you ordered arrives damaged and/or if you genuinely believe the item you receive is not as it was described in the listing, please contact us within two weeks of delivery (and before leaving feedback, please!) in order to arrange an exchange (or refund). Our goal is to make you happy with your purchase!

Please note that only unworn and/or unused items may be exchanged. No refunds on pattern purchases; however, pattern support is available! Convo pattern questions to Lisa via Etsy.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
Additional policies and FAQs
All our products are designed & handcrafted in our smoke & pet free home deep in the beautiful Cascade Foothills of SW Washington where we have lived for almost ten years!

Here in our small corner of paradise, we grow herbs, flowers, vegetables, and fruit, and we raise chickens for eggs and meat. We keep a couple mousers around and have a pet bunny named Iris who provides fertilizer for our compost. We chop wood -- a lot of wood -- which we use to heat our home. We enjoy being surrounded by forests filled with tall Douglas Fir, and we enjoy being able to gaze at the sky filled with stars at night.

We believe in home education, self-sufficiency, entrepreneurism, hard work, and above all, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Thanks for visiting and for supporting our shop! We truly appreciate each purchase.
