I kind of knew it would be, but this is definitely a new favorite mug. The creaminess of the glaze is delicious and unique - and the contrast with the shocking bright green interior is so cool! comfy, smooth, nice and big, just a really great mug, shipped like lightning too. thanks!

I LOVE this rice bowl. The size is perfect with the cutout for chopsticks. I especially love the cat, sleeping and dreaming of chemistry. Awesome. Thank you.

About

Doing what I love

I love making pottery. I became hooked at Northwest Missouri State U and I've been working with clay pretty much continually since then. It's been over ten years now, and my how time flies. I'm a full time high school art teacher but any time I can I steal away to my studio I do. Teaching can be grueling and working with my hands keeps my head clear. Etsy is a simple and strait-forward way to sell my ware. I do have to sell it or things will pile up.

This shop is all me. I'm a tiny operation run out of my back porch studio. I make everything, ship everything, and I even handle my own taxes.

I believe, to surround yourself with hand made things is to reinforce a feeling of well-being. Things mass produced are made hastily, used carelessly, and thrown away ultimately. Hand made objects allow you to slow down and enjoy little moments like a hot cup of tea. I want these objects to find a good home. I hope that you enjoy using them as much as I enjoy making them.

Payment
PayPal is the fastest and easiest way to pay for an item. When a Paypal payment is received the item will be shipped the following business day. I will accept personal checks as well but you must convo me to make the arrangements. A check must be received and cleared before an item can be sent.
Shipping
Shipping costs for pottery can be higher than shipping for other items because it can be heavy and fragile. Shipping costs include packaging. I try to use recycled boxes so if your item comes in a toaster box don’t be nervous, I promise there is a work of art inside! I will ship to the address provided by etsy.
Refunds and Exchanges
I take much care in packaging a piece of pottery but should your item arrive broken, please send me a photo of it within five businesses days of receiving it so I might arrange a refund.
Additional policies and FAQs
My hand made items are dishwasher, microwave, and food safe. Stoneware is durable but if knocked against a hard surface it can chip. If the pottery is chipped it will no longer be as durable and is prone to further brakeage. Also, avoid extreme temperature changes. Never glue a piece back together for food use. A glued piece is only nice for displaying.
