Could not be happier with purchase. It takes a bit of a leap of faith to buy art online, but I had been looking at these paintings forever... Communication with Greg inspired enough trust to take the leap, and I am so glad I did. This painting makes my heart sing...apart from the personal attraction, the talent is unmistakeable. In a fancy gallery, you would pay several times the amount for this kind of work. So if you are considering (like I did for several years), I hope you will feel encouraged to go for it - you will be happy you did!

This painting draws me right in to its line of cobalt trees, rooted in ochre grasses and mossy bogs. I love the yolk yellow sky, and subtle strokes of turquoise, orange, and lime hidden within the earth tones. The colors and textures are so rich (richer in person than online). I couldn't be happier. I hung this painting at eye level so I can get as close as possible to climbing inside. Greg's work is stunning. My family will treasure this piece forever.
From crayons to clients and beyond
Drawing has been a part of me since before I can remember. On rainy days especially, I would ask my mom, "What should I draw"? She would always give me an assignment. My tools at the time were pencils, and lined, three hole punched theme paper. Who can say, maybe that's where my attachment to the horizontal got it's start.
I grew into an aspiring artist, by actually taking myself seriously. I took as many art classes I could in high school, ultimately attending and graduating with honors from Layton School of Art at Milwaukee Wisconsin.
I also grew into an outdoorsman. I spent much of my boyhood, summer and winter, roaming the fields, woods and streams near my home in southern Wisconsin. It was only natural that I would combine these two passions by entertaining myself by pursuing landscape painting.
A career in advertising illustration became a reality upon graduation from art school. That career blossomed, providing me and my family a comfortable living for over forty years. Through all those years I indulged myself with landscape painting. Since my retirement from commissioned assignments, I devote all my energy to my landscapes. It is without doubt the most rewarding and creatively satisfying part of my life as an artist.
