This is the most spectacular hat I've ever bought! It is amazingly well-finished and everything about it has the WOW! factor! I cannot recommend this seller enough. She has an amazing array of all sorts of hats and accessories from the Art Deco period so that the garments are made in the way they would have been made in that period.

The scene in Dinner At Eight when Jean Harlow sat in bed squealing "oh goodie a new hat" she was talking about Brenda from HatArtists surely! B as I call her affectionately is a one off. A direct link to 1930s Hollywood millinery. I am buying 2 more to add to the collection I am starting of this marvel's work - If you don't want to know the process then don't ask but it adds to the exquisite beauty hand made before you. my.favourite.seller. thank you. x

This is a wonderful vintage block from the 1940's and I used it to make this hat. The hat was called a "small hat" and it makes a great foundation for the imagination. I would love to make this hat just for you. My blocks are not for sale.
This grand old wooden hat block is a treasure from the past! It dates from the mid to late 1920's and I used it to make this beautiful hat. I would love to make one just for you. My hat blocks are not for sale.
This is a fabulous vintage wooden hat block from the estate of a famous millinery designer. I used it to make this beautiful hat and would love to make one just for you. My blocks are not for sale.

About

Each hat I create has a story to tell.......What do you want your story to be?

My inspiration comes from the graphic design of the Art Deco period from 1920 to 1940 and the golden years of Hollywood. Each millinery creation starts as a concept built on research from that time period.

I have a vast vintage millinery hat block museum and hat pattern collection that date from the late 1800's to the 1950s. My resources are one of a kind.

I make all the hats completely by hand with the best materials available, using vintage sewing machines that are well over 100 years old and antique millinery tools that are 150- 175 years old. I use few electrical devices in my work.

The client is involved in the design process, as it is their vision that directs me.

I can design Art Deco inspired fashion accessories are available to compliment the hats. Let's talk about what you want.

Please stop in often, as I am always working on something new!

Welcome to Art Deco Millinery!

To determine hat size:

1.Place a flexible tape measure around the circumference of your head, 1 inch above your eyebrows and around the widest part of your head.
2. Measure the circumference at least twice to be sure that you are getting an accurate measurement
3. Add ½ inch and this will be your hat size.

I give hat sizing in the descriptions, so please take note.

There may be additional charges for custom orders.

Fifty % of the cost will be paid at the time of placing the order and the balance will be paid at completion of the work. All custom orders are final.
