Video summary: Watch me doodling beautiful flower patterns for Hattifant's Mother's Day Card project...

The desire to CREATE is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul! - Elder Uchtdorf

Manja is often asked why she signs her art & crafts with Hattifant! What does it mean?! How do you even pronounce it?
It is a word most dear to her and was created by her darling daughter when she was just starting to speak.
One of her first words was ‘HATTI’ (elephant in Hindi). The Burton family was living in India at the time. Months later they visited a zoo in England and she also learned to say ‘Elephant’.
Wind forward and back in India, mother and daughter found themselves in a traffic jam on Delhi’s roads. All of a sudden the little one excitedly points out of the window laughing and shouting ‘Hattifant, mama, look a hattifant!’
…a new word was created, cultures and languages united!

Manja lives for her family and for her art. Both define & balance her.
She is a mom of two little ones, her daughter (9) and her son (8). She loves everything art, crafts and education which led her to obtain a Masters Degree in Educational Science, Psychology and Intercultural Business Communication and volunteer for amazing organizations such as Envision, UNICEF and Save the Children.
Her husband and her also had the opportunity to work with Turquoise Mountain https://turquoisemountain.org/ in Kabul, Afghanistan which brought back Manja's creative side.
Today, you will see Manja with a pen in her hand in her sun filled corner drawing and playing with paper whenever she gets the opportunity! After all - "The desire to CREATE is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul!" - Elder Uchtdorf
