Announcement It's been a very busy year with a new home, new granddaughter and lots of travel. But all that hasn't stopped me from acquiring more tea cups and glassware to share. I'm currently working on all new listings and plan to reopen very soon!

Hazel Mae's Vintage and Shine
I recently got an order for a place setting of Jackson Vitrified China. To me it was pretty run-of-the-mill vintage restaurant ware. The lady that purchased it said that she had been searching for this pattern and would be interested in purchasing any additional pieces I happened to come across. And she told me a story of being raised in a family owned inn that was recently sold and said: “I can't begin to list all the memories that go with these simple pieces of dinnerware”.
Although I appreciate all sales, I love sales that that come with a story like this. It's this kind of story that keeps me digging through dirty old cellars, attics and garages searching for these treasures. (And believe me - I've dug in some dirty ones!) I think every one of the items I sell must have meant something to someone at some point in time. And it's fun to think about the history of the pieces and how they ended up where they are. Plus I feel like I'm saving them from some evil demise! Who knows where they might end up if I don’t rescue them and find good homes for them?
My husband and I go to estate sales nearly every weekend. We’ve been to big beautiful homes, little New England bungalows and neglected old farmhouses. While those beautiful homes are fun to see and sometimes I find nice vintage designer scarves or purses, or pretty bone china tea cups, I’m not searching for ‘fine antiques’.
I love the homes that have seen a family through a lifetime and my adrenalin starts pumping when I find out a home has an old dirt basement or dusty old attic. Not long ago we found a complete set of 1940’s china wrapped in newspaper from the 1970’s in an old garage workshop. I honestly don't think anyone even knew it was there. I think the original owner of that china would like to know that it now belongs to someone that will appreciate it.
So that's become my mission, promoting the art of lost and found. To find items that have been lost, forgotten or discarded, and turn them into something new for someone else.
I named my shop after my two grandmothers - Hazel was my Grandmother on my mother's side of my family and Beulah Mae was my father's mother.
