Well the engineer in me didn't take any of those homemaking classes offered in high school, ...Nope not me....well except for one....Cooking.....I made a D.....yikes......ruined my GPA.....
Well that was a long time ago and my how things turn out. Ended up getting married and then........I had my first little girl.......oh my, I guess that brings out the hidden seamstress in all moms.....I ran down to the sewing shop where they sold me the top of the line machine...ha-ha....my husband almost fainted he could have bought a nice car at that time instead..... then I signed up for an heirloom sewing class….Yep.…..the teacher had to take me aside and show me how to set in a sleeve...and a few more “private lessons”…on how to’s ….she was so patient.....but, once the outfit was completed, I never will forget she said to me, " you need to sew for a living, you have a natural talent" NO WAY....me the no homemaking lady!
Well, my little inspiration as of this bio is 27 and has a little one of her own now. You may have seen her in some of my listings..... Yikes, that makes me a Grandma! Not a bad thing.... My great-grandmother on my mom's side and my grandmother on my dad's side were both excellent grandmothers and seamstresses and I never thought something like that would be passed through the genes!
My then top of the line Elna Carina is still chugging along with a few updated toys too of course...:).
I am now a designing / sewing addict.....Fabric addict....supplies addict....need I go on.....
I just don't have the time to develop it all. But, what fun I have.
Thanks so much for visiting my shop and getting to know me. Wishing you a lifetime of what you love to do even if you don't know it yet. :)
