I Love this scarf so much I'm tempted to keep it for myself but I bought it for my 88 year old Mother's upcoming birthday. I know she'll love it-the color, the softness, and fun style! Next one is for me!

A Desire to Inspire Creativity & Sharing

hearts-a-glow creations is my opportunity to share a bit of what makes my heart glow. I love to explore creatively in many ways; collage, paint, sew, leather work, knit. Having a space to share these explorations--and perhaps share a treasure that makes your heart glow--is a motivation to explore more fully and more frequently.

I consider this shop successful as long as it is bringing abundance into my life...and this comes in many forms. As a newer shop owner, the abundance I'm receiving is the pleasure of expressing my creativity and the excitement that others will find inspiration here in some form...as I have found in other Etsy shops.

This past winter (2013), I had the great opportunity to work in my own studio space...which I LOVED! Being able to leave all my supplies out and accessible, with multiple projects happening at once, and all in a gorgeous space with a view of Mt. Shasta! This was such an invitation for my inner creative child to play freely! I explored many forms of art, gifted many friends with custom creations and expanded my shop to reflect some of these explorations.

I made my way home this Spring and carried many inspirations with me...including the one to set up a studio of some sort wherever I am! My home in northern CA is on an off-grid homestead in the woods. During the dry weather seasons I live in a large, decked out tent. The studio I just set up next to my tent is a mosquito netted gazebo pop-up...all tucked in the trees and surrounded by beauty. All my supplies are set up and ready for me to get back to my creative endeavors. Now I've been thinking up plans for how I would like to grow and shape it further and I've been having a great time with it all!

One way I am shaping my shop is cultivating it as a space for trusting in abundance...knowing there is plenty for everyone of whatever they need/desire. A few ways I am doing this are:

~Offering 10% off one item of any purchase simply for sharing something that makes your heart glow when you check out. May you enjoy your new treasure that much more if you now think of that thing you love when you wear/use/see my creation

~Every 3 months (each Solstice & Equinox) I will randomly gift an item from my shop to someone who "favorites" it and announce the winner once the item is sent. The next receiver will be selected September 21, 2013...so see if you have a favorite!

~I've posted a YouTube video on how to make a shredded t-shirt infinity scarf--the first and main item in my shop--for those of you who would be inspired to make you own instead. Here's the link: http://youtu.be/cGw0iJgWjuo

~I've also posted links to other's videos/sites to expand your DIY resources and artist/creatrix awareness. And check out my treasuries to see shops and items I love and want to support.

Likely I'll continue to come up with more as I trust more deeply in my abundance and open more fully to my creativity. Til then, I hope you enjoy these gifts from the heart.
I'd like to thank all the other Etsy (& beyond) crafters for sharing their creations. A special thank you to a few of the many who have inspired and supported me in my creative endeavors. Check out their Etsy shops and amazing offerings, too!
