My interpretation of nature through fabrics and thread.

My family history is entwined with textiles; weavers, sheep farmers and even a court dressmaker in the mix. I have fibres in my bloodstream. Originally from Derbyshire,
I have lived in North Devon for over 20 years.
I graduated with a degree in embroidery from Manchester Metropolitan University. This was a fantastic opportunity to develop my artistic skills whilst learning all the techniques of embroidery from world class practitioners
My embroideries are in appliqué embellished with machine stitching & hand beading, all are inspired by drawing or a painting. I love the variety of texture and rich jewel like colour in silk and natural fabrics.
My pieces are made in small batches to the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Hello, I'm Heather an embroiderer living in beautiful North Devon. I love what I do, I hope you can see that. As a child I spent time with my wonderful granny, a brilliant seamstress, with her fantastic patience I learnt to sew, knit, draw and read.
