I started collecting Polish Pottery while living in Germany and traveled to Boleslawiec, Poland 10 times! A little obsessed with it you might say? Plenty of props for my still life series. :)

I began picking up the paintbrush in 2005 when we moved to Germany with the Air Force. I started painting landscapes, floral paintings, pet portraits and of course still lives. I set up my first still life with the Polish pottery I had started collecting.. I painted 3-4 acrylic still life's with my Polish pottery and decided to start a series dedicated to this beautiful hand painted stoneware. I traveled 10 times to Boleslawiec, Poland to shop for the pottery and collected a LOT! Really can you have too much? It's so pretty!
