5 out of 5 starsSo beautiful. It's waiting to be framed and hung on the walls in my home in East Anglia to remind me of Porthleven where I've been so many times all my life, and have missed so much. I asked for this print as a present for Christmas and I was thrilled to open it. I'm also a relief printer in my spare time so I also appreciated Heather's talent too. Thank you.

My design is traced backwards on the lino with carbon paper and carved with specially designed tools.
-
Once I’ve mixed the colour exactly as I like it, I roll the ink onto the lino plate.
-
I place paper over the inked up plate and apply strong pressure with the flat of my hand and a wooden spoon.
-
Once I'm sure the ink has transferred, I peel the paper away from the lino plate to reveal the print!

Linocut prints take a few weeks to dry completely and once they are, they are ready for sale from Etsy shop!

Frequently asked questions
Who do you use to ship with and will my item be insured?
Your print will be shipped with MyHermes. Unfortunately they won't insure artwork but should your item become damaged I will send another print (if available) or refund you. I take great care to package your print correctly.
You will be able to track your order with a delivery number. For peace of mind, your print will also require a signature upon delivery (maximum 3 attempts to deliver). If your artwork is returned to me after these three attempts I will automatically refund you. If you wish me to send the print again you will need to place this as a new order through my Etsy shop.
If you don’t want your order to be ‘signed for’ please message me as soon as you have made your purchase. You will then just receive a tracking number only.
Will you refund me if my print arrives damaged?
I take great care to make sure your print is packaged securely but as couriers often don't handle packages carefully, there is a risk of damage.
However, if your print does arrive damaged please take a photo and contact me within 7 working days of your print arriving. I will either send you a replacement print (if there are any available) or issue you a full refund.
Please note that refunds will not be issued if you contact me later than 7 working days of your print arriving.
Will you refund me if my print does not arrive?
If your print has not arrived after 7 working days since you received the dispatch email confirmation from MyHermes, please contact them with your item number.
I'm afraid that I cannot accept responsibility in the event that your print does not arrive and I will not be able to issue you a refund. However, I can happily say that to date I’ve never had a print go missing during shipping!
If I want to return a print will you cover my return shipping costs?
I hope that you love your print, but if you change your mind you can return it. If you wish to make a return please inform me within 3 working days of receiving your order.
You must return your print within 7 working days of my response to your email. The print must be packaged securely - if it goes missing or is not returned in its original condition a refund will not be issued.
When you return your print I will refund your original payment. However, please note that your return shipping costs will not be refunded when you send your print back to me. Should you wish to exchange for another print, you will need to re order this again as a new purchase.
I will reimburse you within 7 working days of the item being returned to me.
Will my print look exactly like the photo in the listing?
PRINT VARIATIONS
My artwork is handprinted. Although my best judgement goes into making the prints as uniform as possible, ink coverage will vary and therefore each print will look slightly different from each other. So the version you see on Etsy may not exactly represent the print you order. However, this is what makes your print special and unique so it’s no bad thing! Any variations will only be slight.
SCREENS
All computer screens show colour differently. For instance, a hue of blue may look lighter or darker on one computer screen than it does on another. Therefore any print you order may differ slightly in colour from what you view when placing your order.
Which countries do you ship to?
I currently only deliver within the UK as my customers are localised with an interest in Cornwall (the main subject matter of my prints).
Why is your postage expensive?
I take great care packaging my prints and send them flat rather than rolling them inside a tube. In my experience couriers are rarely careful with any items they transport and cardboard tubes can get crushed. Posting them flat is the best way to deliver your print safely to you. I use layers of double walled cardboard and mount board, tissue paper and bubble wrap to ensure no damage. I include the cost of packaging into my postage costs along with the additional cost for a signature. So this is why my postage is a little more than others, but I feel it's necessary to keep your print in tip top condition : )
