The print looks great! The technique and the materials are wonderful. The shipping was very fast and packaged well to avoid any damage. I got this as a birthday present for my Mom and she absolutely loves it. I would happily shop with Heather again. She was an attentive and professional. 10/10!!

Heather is an amazing artist and I love the chicken linocut. I bought it as a gift for my daughter and she was thrilled to put it on her wall.

About

Arriving at the Linocut

I have been fascinated with the art of printmaking for a long time. The first prints that really blew me away were from an old edition of "The Wizard of Earthsea" by Ursula K. LeGuin. I was sad to find out that the series is no longer printed with those images, because I thought that they caught the essence of the story in such a pure way. When I first saw those prints as a teenager, I knew it was something I had to try someday. They had a mystique about them that knocked my socks off. But I never tried until just a couple years ago. I was daunted, I think, because those prints that I saw were actually woodcuts and I didn't really know how to start. But then I was spending some time with my father, who is an artist, and he said, "Well why don't you just try some linocuts first?" As soon as I started, I knew that it was something that I wouldn't be able to get enough of. It is such an exciting art form. There is a magic to the making, to whether or not the print will be exciting. I love the moment when I peel the first paper away from the block. It is a thrill every time. I hope you enjoy the result as much as I enjoy the process.
