Beautiful sheen, and the colors are so pretty! I will be making my daughter a top out of it. :)

Heavenly Fiber for Heavenly Handwork

When you take the time to make something, you deserve to use the best, most beautiful materials you can. The act of producing a handmade item is usually long-lived, and you will be working with those materials for a long time. Heavenly Fiber sprang from a desire to make and provide beautiful, soft, and colorful materials for handwork, whether it is knitted, woven, crocheted, or felted.

You will find colorful fibers for carding or spinning as well as the tools to begin your adventure in spinning, sparkling yarns for that special gift for a loved one (or yourself!), and stitch markers to help you keep your place in lace knitting. I like to call stitch markers "jewelry for knitting"!

The fibers and yarns in Heavenly Fiber are inspired by a my wildly varied interests ranging from Dickens, Shakespeare and Jane Austen to Dr. Who, Star Trek, and Max Brooks. If you've ever used the word "shiny" to express approval, this is your place!

If you like what you see, please come join us on Ravelry and Facebook . Just look for Heavenly Fiber - see you there!

I spin, knit, dye, garden, travel, read Jane Austen and Max Brooks (with a cup of tea nearby!), and spoil my granddaughters! Heavenly Fiber is the serendipitous result of figuring out what I want to do when I grow up!

Welcome to HeavenlyFiber!

As a life-long knitter and crocheter, I know the importance of using the right materials to make beautiful things for those we love. There are so many different fibers available that the spinner has a wealth of choices, but preparation of the spinning fiber can make or break the spinning experience! I have found that the fibers I love best to spin are those that are prepared with the spinner in mind - clean, beautiful fibers in rich colors that draft like a dream!

This is what HeavenlyFiber is all about! Hand-pulled fiber sets are hand-pulled on a hackle and then dizzed to produce a strip of fiber that I then gently roll into a ball or nest . The hand-pulled fiber is very easy to draft and spin. Drumcarded batts are carded from the finest, cleanest, most beautifully colored fibers I can find, resulting in soft and lofty batts that are easy to spin. I also hand dye fiber to sell in braids and use in my batts. I hope you enjoy spinning HeavenlyFibers as much as I do!

I spin, knit, crochet, embroider, sew, grow heirloom roses, spoil my family, and read voraciously...no time to be bored!

Additional policies and FAQs
Hand-dyed fibers are dyed using Greener Shades professional acid dyes. All hand dyed braids are chain braided, making it easy to gently pull one end and unchain the braid. This allows you to undo only the amount of fiber you will be using, leaving the rest of the braid in a neat and easy-to-store chain.

Every fiber set I prepare is OOAK. However, if you see something you like in the sold section I can usually reproduce a fiber set that is very close to the original.

I work in a dedicated studio in my home. My home is smoke-free but pet-friendly. I do have a cat and two very small dogs, but they neither knit, spin, nor blend fibers! If you have allergies please convo me for details.

The materials I use are primarily animal fibers. Please read the descriptions carefully to avoid any problems with allergies, and request specific fiber content not be used if such concerns exist.
