Hola y bienvenidos a Heck yes Print Works.

Soy Amanda James, heck yes Print Works' ilustradora, impresora, empaquetadora, mailer, contestadora de convo y cat cuddler. Siempre he sido un garabato compulsivo, pero me costó encontrar una manera de compartir esos garabatos hechos a mano con el mundo. Saqué mi primera impresión en 2008 e inmediatamente me enamoré del proceso de grabado. La serigrafía y la litografía me permiten crear múltiplos de mis ilustraciones sin sacrificar las cualidades hechas a mano que aprecio.

Comencé a vender mis impresiones y ferias de artesanía locales en Portland, Oregon. Era un honor cuando mis clientes me contaban historias sobre dónde mostrarían mis impresiones. Un caballito de mar podría terminar en una primera guardería de parejas jóvenes, mientras que un búho se convirtió en un regalo de cumpleaños para una abuela valiente. ¡Fue todo tan emocionante! No podía creer que mis impresiones pudieran convertirse en parte de la vida y los recuerdos de otras personas. En 2010, di el paso y abrí Heck yes Print Works y he tenido la oportunidad de escuchar más historias de clientes de todo el mundo.

Hello and welcome to Heck Yeah Print Works.

I’m Amanda James, Heck Yeah Print Works' in house illustrator, printer, packager, mailer, convo answerer, and cat cuddler. I have always been a compulsive doodler, but I struggled to find a way to share those handmade doodles with the world. I pulled my first print in 2008 and immediately fell head over heels for the printmaking process. Screen printing and lithography empower me to create multiples of my illustrations without sacrificing the handmade qualities that I cherish.

I began selling my prints and local craft fairs in Portland, Oregon. It was an honor when my customers would tell me stories about where they would display my prints. A seahorse could end up in a young couples first nursery, while an owl became a birthday gift for a spunky grandmother. It was all so exciting! I couldn’t believe that my prints could become a part of other people’s lives and memories. In 2010, I took the plunge and opened Heck Yeah Print Works and I have had the opportunity to hear more of customers’ stories from all around the world.
