Note from shop owner I have decided to permanently close my shop due to rising costs and lack of reliable supplies (greatly due to covid.) I’ve purchased The UPS Store 2861 in St. Louis and am just moving on. I greatly appreciate all the wonderful customers and friends I've made on Etsy over the years. Reading your reviews and how my candles helped and delighted you was felt strongly in my heart each time I read them. I wish everyone the best!

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

The majority of my candles are made to order. I typically get these out in a day or two, but I do experience heavy waves of orders at times. If time is very important for you (for your event, or birthday for instance) please send me a message so I can push yours to the front of the line. I do not charge extra for rush orders. I do generally work on orders in the order they are received. I work 7 days a week and so long as it won't make your candle quality suffer, I will speed things up when possible.

Sizing details

All measurements and weights in in each description. If there is more information you need, send me a message.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Candles ship bubble wrapped and sometimes double boxed. Gift wrapping is generally only available during Christmas, but if you need it any other time, send me a message to work this out. I usually can offer gift bags with tissue paper for an extra charge.

Wholesale availability

Lately I've been very busy with individual sales and unable to do many wholesale orders. I will still provide wholesale information when requested. This is something I would eventually like to grow more!

Care instructions

Candles are to be kept in dry, dark places when not in use. Scents may get stronger as a candle cures so keep this in mind if you have one that isn't giving a good hot throw.

Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours and trim the wick if needed to 1/4" to promote proper burning.

Allow your candle to burn long enough that it creates an edge-to-edge pool of wax so that your candle doesn't "tunnel." Tunneling will cause the candle to burn down faster.

Care and warning stickers are on the bottom of each candle over 3oz.

Problems with candles

Occasionally your wick may get too short or fall into the wax and not burn properly. Just clean off the wick as best as possible and if needed, dig a tiny 1/8" trench around the wick base to get it going again.

Fair scent throw can be common with certain candles because I do not use chemicals or products to enhance it.

Not all people will like every scent. Stick to what you know you like or try a sample before ordering my largest candle in a new scent.

I've even had some people tell me apples smell like oranges, it's all in how you perceive it!

Are your candles skin safe?

Short answer: Yes
Long answer: I personally love putting beeswax and coconut oil candle wax on my skin. I love honey and coconut!

Pure beeswax is going to be too sticky to rub in properly, so if your candle is pure beeswax I do not recommend it.

Soy candle wax on your skin is perfectly safe if you really love the scent. The oils are all phthalate free and contain safe ingredients used in things like soap and moisturizers.

Be sure to let the wax cool to a safe-to-touch temperature before even attempting to touch it. Never apply to children or pets.

Pits and holes in my soy candle

Soy naturally gets a crumbly texture that can be shiny and rocky looking after it's been burned. This is completely normal and not a defect to the candle.

Pour patterns, cracks in my beeswax candles

I double pour my beeswax candles to ensure no air pockets are kept within. This can cause a pour pattern on the glass or the appearance of cracks down inside the candle. I can assure you they are completely filled and normal. There's no way that I've discovered on how to prevent or lessen this and it does seem random. I believe it's due to temperature, air pressure and humidity while cooling.

During burning beeswax may crack after it cools, this is normal and will not change how the candle functions.
