This is just downright gorgeous. It seems the photos cannot do the work full justice as the fabrics shimmer and shift in tones in different lights making it beautifully mysterious and giving depth to what can be seen in the artwork. nVery carefully packaged and first class service. I am really thrilled with this. Thank you.

About

A NEED TO BE CREATIVE

I have a day job - I'm a chiropodist (or some would say podiatrist), but I'd rather be creating jewellery and things to put it in and hang it from. I work mainly with textiles - upcycled from silk scarves, old clothes or odds and ends from the local scrap store, but other materials often find their way into my creations. I make some fabrics by layering fragments on a base material and then machine embroidering all over it. Apart from fabrics I have accumulated a lot of beads and regularly deconstruct old jewellery I buy from charity shops to use in my own jewellery. I'm inspired by colour and texture found in buildings, on the beach and in other cultures, ancient and modern.

I'm a self taught crafts person who loves to dabble in lots of crafts. My current obsessions are textile art and photography but I also love working with glass and hope to add this to my Etsy shop one day.

Hi, thanks for looking in my shop.

The following are my general shop policies. I have tried to think of all eventualities but please contact me, before ordering, if you have any questions.

Please note that all items are handmade by me and many are one of a kind (ooak).

If you would like a custom made item please contact me and we will work something out.

I retain all rights to my creations.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
You can pay via Paypal or Etsy's direct checkout - so you can pay by Visa, debit card or Etsy gift vouchers without the need of a Paypal account.

Any repayments will be made via the original payment method.

Please ensure payment is made within 3 days of ordering or I will have to re-list the item. If you have a problem with payment please contact me.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Please be aware that you will be responsible for any and all taxes, duties and customs charges that may be incurred within your own country.
Shipping
PACKAGING:
I like to recycle packaging where possible. If you would prefer new packaging, please say so in the 'Message to Seller' box when you place your order.

POSTAGE: I ship from England
I aim to despatch within 3-5 working days of payment confirmation (excluding weekends and holidays). If for any reason this is not going to be possible (e.g our postal service goes on strike!) I will let you know asap.

- UK BUYERS
- Royal Mail - 1st class

- INTERNATIONAL BUYERS
- Royal Mail International Standard Airmail (N.B. This DOES NOT including tracking and the package will not be traceable once posted)
- Upgrade to tracked available by clicking this link and adding it to your cart
https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/217573183/international-postage-upgrade-tracked?ref=shop_home_active_23
- Just a reminder - the buyer will be responsible for all local duties/customs charges etc.

INSURANCE:
Depends on the postal service, i.e. whatever is included in the standard rates.
Higher value items will have additional insurance cover at no extra cost

DELIVERY:
Estimates based on Royal Mail figures (see 'Reality Check' below)
UK - 1-2 working days
Europe - 3-5 working days
USA / Canada - 5-7 working days

Reality Check!
UK - can take up to a week
Europe - 1-2 weeks
International - 2-3 weeks, with USA in particular taking even longer (6 weeks is not unknown). This is often due to parcels being held up by customs in the receiving country for security purposes.

Royal Mail do not consider an item of mail lost until

15 workings days has passed for UK deliveries
20 working days has passed for European deliveries and
25 working days has passed for all other deliveries (rest of world)

Therefore, please be patient and allow a reasonable amount of time for delivery, especially during holidays. I will email/convo you when I have shipped your item. If you have still not received your item after the times given under 'reality check' above, (say about 42 days for USA), please contact me as soon as possible. I will then assume the parcel has been lost and arrange a refund.
Refunds and Exchanges
I want my customers to be happy with the service I provide, so if you have any issues please contact me and we will aim to resolve them together.

I am subject to the EU Directive on Consumer Rights June 2014 - Distance Selling Regulations (DSRs) which include the following:-

- You have 14 days from receipt to change your mind and return the item. You will be entitled to a full refund of the original item cost and postage. However, you will be responsible for paying the return postage costs. The Regulations state that the item must be returned to get a refund. The item must be in a saleable condition in the original packaging. I would recommend proof of posting and insurance.

Here is a link to a UK returns form you can print off https://www.etsy.com/uk/help/article/5452

- I aim to package my items as securely as I can, so please contact me as soon as possible if your item has been damaged in transit. I will try to sort out any problems as quickly as possible, in accordance with the Regulations. Any refunds will be made via Paypay or Etsy's direct checkout depending on your original payment method.

- Custom orders:
Distance Selling Regulations do not apply to custom orders so no refunds or exchanges will be given for mistakes made regarding sizes etc on the part of the buyer. If the mistake is due to error on my part then of course I will refund / exchange the item. I try to be as accurate as possible in measuring my items, especially jewellery, and give measurements in inches and metric.
Additional policies and FAQs
Jewellery: I try to ensure all my metal findings are nickle /lead free, but I can only go by what my suppliers tell me so can't give a 100% guarantee. Some people even react to silver/ gold plated metal.

If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
