Announcement   My handmade jewelry utilizes colorful gemstones, unique elements and mixed media to increase the beauty in the world while decreasing the suffering in it. For every piece that you buy, a portion of the cost goes to improve the lives of women and children in Niger by providing beekeeping kits and training to create a significant source of income for the families, which will allow these women to feed their children and send their daughters to school.

Check out my blog, which details thoughts about veterinary school, creating jewelry, and life in general. Check it out at: http://tapirseeksrocks.blogspot.com/

If you've got any questions, please feel free to convo me! I'm very friendly. Thanks for stopping by!

OMG I JUST GOT THE NECKLACE! I LOVE IT! Even better then I thought the copper rings are so delicate and the stones are perfectly shaped. Lovely balance of rustic and delicate. It is just perfect. So excited I'm looking at two more! Thank you for the necklace...I'm thrilled!

About

Jewelry for the free spirit made with gemstones and found items.

Hi! I’m a new graduated veterinarian living in southern California. I find beauty in the raw and unexpected, in asymmetry, in mixing colors, textures and metals, and defying conventions. My favorite materials are rough, colorful gemstones, lampwork glass, wire, and found items that I gather at the beach, in the woods, a parking lot, or the various little shops that I frequent for strange and unusual items. There’s something enchanting in the process of starting with bits and ending with a finished piece, like the alchemists of old. I am continually expanding my techniques and designs to best create the ethereal ideas that flit through my thoughts as I drift to sleep at nights.

For every sale, I donate a portion of the proceeds to organizations that work to better the lives of women and their families in Niger. It's a blessing to be able to help others by doing something I love!

In Niger, an arid land on the edge of the Sahara, the life expectancy for women is 52 years. In rural areas, the average woman gives birth to eight children. Women in Guidan Roumji, Niger, live in extreme poverty. Beekeeping is an activity that brings a significant income to a rural farming family, making a difference that changes their future. With an additional source of income, mothers can feed their children and send their girls to school. ADRA will provide beekeeping kits and training to produce honey and will teach the women how to manage their income. Organized into cooperatives, women will share a portion of their income and reinvest in other women in their community.

You can find my jewelry in corporeal form at Fleur de Lis Gifts in Redlands, California.

I also have a blog -

Thanks so much for lookin'!

I'm a veterinary student who finds short bouts of time to delve into the beauty of natural stones and found elements to create one of a kind pieces of jewelry for others to treasure for years to come.

Payment
While I prefer Paypal as quick and easy, I also accept money orders with the understanding that the ordered item will be sent after payment has both been received and cleared. Money orders will only be accepted for the exact amount of your purchase plus shipping.
Shipping
In most cases, I ship within 24 hours of receiving payment. When exams roll around, my shipping time may be delayed slightly, but even when things are busy, shipping is always within three business days of your purchase.

Shipping confirmation is included in the price of shipping for domestic items.

Your shipping price reflect that of First-class mail sent through the United States Postal Service, and includes delivery confirmation (ie, tracking).

When shipping internationally, the exact price of the total payment is automatically stamped into my shipping form. I cannot alter this price and it is illegal for me to do so; please do not ask me to break the law! The buyer is responsible for all taxes, duties, and fees upon import to the destination country.

I try to use recycled packaging when I can to keep costs low and help out the environment. :)

If you are ordering from within the United States and want insurance for your item, please contact me before purchasing and I will add the cost of the upgrade to your shipping.
Refunds and Exchanges
It is important for me that you are happy with your purchase. If you don't love what you have purchased, you can return it within a week of delivery after contacting me to let me know the situation IF the item is in the same condition as when I shipped it (this does not include damages during shipping). Your money will be refunded, minus shipping charges, since I am only a one-person business and thus can't afford to "eat" shipping expenses.

If an error has been made on my part, I will refund or exchange and pay for shipping charges as well.

It an item has been damaged during shipping, email me with pictures and I will offer a refund or exchange within seven (7) days of delivery. You will need to mail the item back to me WITH delivery confirmation, and once I receive it I will refund payment (if that is your preference).

I reserve the right to refuse your refund if you haven't met these simple criteria. Play nice, and we'll all get along. ;)
Additional policies and FAQs
I love custom orders! Convo me and let's see if we can work something out.

Please contact me before leaving negative or neutral feedback and let me see if I can resolve any problem that you may have with the item. Communication is the key to life!
