🌿 I am a second generation eco hand dyer and home herbalist.
🌿I have been creating superior natural unbleached muslin binds and organic apothecary goods from my eco green studio since 2015.
I love small, local, homegrown: I am not a big store producing massive amounts. I am a mom-owned business, dedicated to making unique items of the finest quality for each of my customers. ​I am extremely passionate about being transparent, honest, and very knowledgable on cotton textiles, all dyes (natural and synthetic) and natural botanical body care. My customers are informed consumers, eco conscious, free thinkers who appreciating truth, high quality and are not green washed by false advertising.

I solely work with the safest professional eco dyes available and the perfect weight & weave of cotton muslin to securely support and comfort you. I am proud and honored to offer these beautiful binds of quality to my beloved customers. The only other muslin cotton bengkung bind I recommend are my GOTS Organic Cotton bind which I sell in my sister store Nest & Nurture Organics.( currently taking a indefinite rest ). I was the very first to bring GOTS organic binds to Etsy and have been continually selling these special organic cotton binds and labor wraps since 2017 2021. Due to current economy and time, I am currently not selling organic cotton binds.

🌿 I CONTINUE TO CREATE, EVOLVE & MANIFEST
In my former life, (prior to becoming a momma and doula), I was a certified K-12 art teacher at the elementary and middle school level.
Art, creating, holistic health and alternative complimentary therapies is how I was raised and is my life’s work and the path I am blessed to walk.
Over the years Since 2015 I have created nearly a hundred different color combinations for my bengkung binds pulling from my BFA in art education with a minor in color theories.
I have learned a tremendous amount on the ideal fabric for binding and the organic chemistry of hand dying. The mono hue binds are low water & bath dyed , all other bengkung binds are dyed using a natural ice dyed shibori technique being inspired by gems, minerals and botanicals. My dyes are the safest non toxic eco friendly professional cold water dyes available, being recognized for their upmost safety to all life and natural resources. This dye is now recognized and used by GOTS ( Global Organic Textile Standard ). GOTS is the highest standard of certification for the organic textile industry globally.

🌿I share my knowledge freely through youtube tutorials & live videos via instagram. I work very hard to be accessible to help both the new mother and the professional birth worker. I offer the most knowledgable course on binding for professionals in my Academy of Holistic Cycles.

🌿THE ACADEMY OF HOLISTIC CYCLES is where I train professionals in the birthing community the most comprehensive course on how to properly bind with the bengkung belly bind for pelvic stability and holistic sacred intention. Combining my skills as a Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, Cappa certified Postpartum Doula, certified Aromatherapist, Bengkung Master, Home Herbalist, and Crystal Healer; my course is now internationally taught.

The academy has individuals participating from around the world ...( USA, Canada, Finland, United Kingdom, France, India and Australia ). I hold these exclusive live zoom classes only twice a year. Enrollment for April 2022 is now open for registration. It is wonderful and amazing to gather and meet the talented women who have joined me on this journey. I would love to see you there.

🌿DOULA TEA TALKS
2021 the academy was the host of my Doula Tea Talks which is my initiation to host and promote other Doulas as they speak on their practice, passions and personal paths. These talks are intimate personal conversations on the multitude of services doulas offer. These were brought to you twice a month on my Instagram page @the_barefoot_momma around the lunar cycle of New and Full moon cycles. The talks are real, raw conversations offering guidance, support, insight and compassion.

🌿I AM CURRENTLY WORKING ON
my new course for Menstrual support. Being the individual who pioneered the Bengkung for menstrual support and the calming of the central nervous system back in 2016. I am looking forward to bringing the menstrual support course this year! 2022

🌿THIS SUMMER & PAST YEAR
This summer I am concentrating more on my ever growing botanical gardens and expanding our lavender gardens. Currently we have 56 lavender plants, soon to be hundreds!!!! SO EXCITED!! I am deeply grateful being the steward of this land having these beautiful vast gardens of healing organic herbs and flowers, heirloom veges, happy chickens and my solar artisan eco dye studio.
My sweet little studio is two rooms having its own separate entrance....no shoes, no pets, no chickens allowed in these hallow walls with glistening aqua floors. Here is where I have the sewing machines, work tables, massive rolls of cotton fabric waiting to be cut and washed and dyed, 2 washers and and a dryer solely for my fabric, cabinets overflowing with my dried flowers, herbs and spices. The cozy shipping corner with its antique rustic worn kitchen cabinet , carrying warm memories of my mothers kitchen. Bunches of my organic homegrown lavender hang drying nearby. As I stand there carefully preparing your package, I take a moment, breathe in the lavender and tuck a special gift into your package; hoping you will love and enjoy what I have created for you.
It is a studio filled with intention and love, cleansed and sanitized nightly. It is my sanctuary, my she space, my magical apothecary.
Life is busy and exciting.., exploring dye methods, creating new organic body care products utilizing our gardens and wild lands, tending to my business, gardens, (harvesting flowers, herbs veges), my beloved chickens and last but not least...my family!!! 3 wild nature loving boys...the eldest being my wonderful husband and 2 fun loving sons, 7 & 4 whom I homeschool.
Everyday is a crazy busy amazing day I am forever grateful to have.
