ABOUT

It all started about then years after an early menopause. As Oestrogen levels dropped over a number of years I noticed the typical changes! This was not supposed to happen!
However help was at hand when I moved to the magical Bavarian Alps, a region in the south of Germany where herbalism is alive and well.

As a Reiki Master it was very important to me to work with my body and its natural healing powers and to find a solution that treated the underlying cause rather than cover up the symptoms.

Under the instruction of an experienced local herbalist I tried Lady’s Mantle (Alchemilla vulgaris) and essential oils with fantastic results that I now want to share with all of you.

I collected Alchemilla from my own untreated meadows according to the moon calendar (on a Venus day of course) and made the mother tincture, which I used to make my first batch of VENUS YONI suppositories. VENUS YONI oil was added to complement them a few months later.

Alchemilla has allowed me to open my eyes to the natural beauty of being a woman and empowered me to take charge of my body. I now feel more feminine and happier and I am not exaggerating when I say it changed my life on many different levels!
There are many things you can do to assist the healing process. Please do get in touch for further information regarding PMS, menopause, heavy periods or after having given birth.

Having said all of the above please do read the disclaimer as all content is my personal opinion and I am NOT A DOCTOR. If in doubt do consult a medical professional. Do not self-medicate.

Lady’s Mantle Drug Interactions

People using the following medications should avoid Lady’s mantle or consult their healthcare providers before using this herb:

Blood Thinners: Such as aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix) and warfarin (Coumadin) should not be combined with Lady’s mantle.

Iron Supplements: Those taking iron supplements or other medications for treating anaemia should avoid Lady’s mantle because it interferes with absorption and effectiveness of these drugs.

Using boric acid PH balancer

In the USA Boric Acid is a popular PH balancer to re-establish the PH value of a healthy vagina to enable the beneficial bacteria to thrive and fight infections.

However, I understand that Boric Acid works by eroding the waxy coating on an insect’s skin, which causes it to dehydrate and die. Although it is not toxic, it can cause nausea, vomiting, throat swelling, and other health problems in humans if ingested.
Whilst it may change the vaginal PH I wonder how it treats the underlying issues holistically.

What is Lady's Mantle or Alchemilla?

The plant is rich in tannins, salicylic acid (a natural pain reliever), essential oil, bitter substances and phytosterols. It also contains vitamin C and numerous minerals.

Used as suppository it is said to treat itchiness caused by bacterial vaginosis, yeast infections, and other related vaginal infections.
According to studies, Lady’s mantle can also be used to relieve menopausal symptoms such as irregular menstruation.

Many of the herb’s constituents, especially the tannins and flavonoids, are thought to have a balancing and regulating effect on the female reproductive system.
The herb works astringent on the uterus and may be beneficial for heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding or uterine bleeding between normal menstrual periods and
