Our Story

To accurately tell this story, lets go back to May of 2013, the apartment next to ours caught fire. Leaving ours with smoke and water damage to where we had to move in with family. On July 1st, we decided to get a small pet for our daughter to help her through this change in our lives. She picked out a hermit crab whom she named Hermie. Little did we know this little crab would change our lives.

We learned all we did about Hermie, soon finding out most things in the pet shops were bad for hermit crabs. We started making our own DIY things for him and soon got him friends. We became obsessed with them. The thought came to us that we wanted to put out a line of food and other items that were safe for hermit crabs. It took until March of 2015 until I felt we had learned their basic diet & needs along with outstanding care that we launched our line. Thanks to the group Hermit Crab Owners on Facebook.

As of today, December 27th 2017, we have almost 11,ooo sales on our Etsy shop and over 17,000 combining both shops. We’re the 43rd top shop on Etsy under pet supplies and in the top 1% of all Etsy shops out of the one million and a half stores on Etsy. We have also now launched betta, bird, cat, dog and rat food & treat lines on our shop.

This is all thanks to you! Without your support this wouldn’t be possible. Thank you for making it possible for us to give our daughter and rescue pets the life they deserve. All the money earned in this shop goes towards their wants and need and expanding our brand.

Processing times?

• All items are shipped out in no more than 1 to 2 weeks unless other wised stated. (Examples – free shipping weekends or holiday times mid-October to December) Please remember this is a made to order hermit crab food shop. All items are made after an order is placed to ensure maximum freshness.

• Free shipping weekends or Holiday times – Due to a high volume of orders, shipping may take up to 12 business days to ship out. If you need an item sooner than this I have priority mail or rush delivery options.

• I ship out using USPS First class mail with no insurance. Please upgrade to Priority Mail. Overnight, Rush Delivery, or Rush Delivery Overnight for you items to be covered during shipping or for faster delivery.

Different Types of Shipping?

• First Class – This is the standard shipping I use to ship out items. First class mail can take up to 7 business days to get to your home.
• Priority Mail – Is two to three-day shipping after processing time. The two to three day refers to the shipping time not the processing.
• Overnight – Is one to two-day shipping after processing time. The one to two day refers to the shipping time not the processing.
• Rush Delivery - If this option is picked you are moved to the front of the line! Order will be shipped in 3 business days processing time and then shipping via priority mail.
• Rush Delivery Overnight - Order will be shipped in 3 business days processing time and then shipping via priority mail express.

Refunds and Exchanges Part One

Refunds depend on the type of shipping method used -

• First Class - 3 day money back guarantee on shipping costs (not the package contents) if the item arrives to you broken. Once you send me a picture of the damaged item I will gladly refund. Unfortunately, first class mail does not offer insurance. If you would like your package’s contents insured, please upgrade to priority mail.

• Priority Mail - 3 day money back guarantee on the whole order up to $100. I will refund you the money once I have the picture of the broken item. I will gladly refund your money. Just please understand I do not control how badly a package will be handled during shipping.

Refunds and Exchanges Part Two

• Overnight - 3 day money back guarantee on the whole order up to $100. I will refund you the money once I have the picture of the broken item. I will gladly refund your money.

• Rush Delivery -3 day money back guarantee on the whole order up to $100. I will refund you the money once I have the picture of the broken item. I will gladly refund your money.

• Rush Delivery Overnight - 3 day money back guarantee on the whole order up to $100. I will refund you the money once I have the picture of the broken item. I will gladly refund your money.

Refunds and Exchanges Part Three

• Refunds On Custom Orders – I do not do refunds on custom orders unless a mistake is made on my side. I run everything by you before making your custom order so please make sure to check spelling, name, numbers etc. before you give me the okay to print/make your order.

• Whole Order Refunds – I do not offer refunds on whole orders unless stated above in section one or two.

• Wrong Shipping Address – I am not responsible for items sent to the wrong address. Please check your address before checking out. Items will not be resent out unless I receive them back and you pay for another shipping label.

Refunds and Exchanges Part Four

• Tracking – Once the package has tracking information it is the customer’s responsibility to track the package. If the package is stuck in a hub more than 3 days, feel free to contact me so I can call USPS to open a case to find the missing package. Out of 9,000 plus orders I have only had three packages never to be found again so please contact me.

• Stolen or Lost Packages – Please contact me asap, so I can call USPS. Stolen or lost packages will be consider stolen or lost after 15 days of no tracking updates or a call from your local post office to tell me that the package was indeed placed where you normally receive packages or mail. Refunds will be given according to which shipping method was used. Please see section one and two.

Refunds and Exchanges Part Five

• Exchanges – If you have ordered the priority mail or rush shipping upgrade, I can exchange your damage items instead of refunding. Your order will be re send priority mail and within 3 business days. I do not exchange any other items due to health and safety regulations. No exchanges will be given to an item you do not like due to health and safety concerns.
•Anti- Harassment/Bullying Clause – If you are displeased with an order don’t be afraid to contact me but when contacting me please remain respectful. I will return the same respect back to you. Please do NOT bully, harass, threaten, belittle, or use foul words. This will result in loss of your refund and put you on my do not sell to list.

Cancellations & International Packages

• Cancellations - I no longer accept cancellations .

• International Packages – Any delay or extra charges by your country's customs office is the responsibly of the buyer. Please call and check with your customs office.
