In the middle of the first flush and shaping up to be a good harvest! Shipped quickly, packaged well, and seems like a quality product!

So I received the golden oyster bag but I noticed some spots that were concerning and it looked like green trich contamination so I reached out to seller and got an immediate response. They shipped me a new kit as soon as they could to make up for it. At this time they were out of golden oysters so they sent me a snow oyster kit instead and wrote a personal note saying that they will be sending me a golden oyster kit once they are ready. I cannot say how wonderful that is that they would send me two replacement kits for my original kit being bunk. In mycology, contamination will happen even to the best so it doesn’t bother me to have gotten a bad one, it’s the sellers recovery that speaks volumes. H. Farms has my permanent business for all my mushroom needs. Great seller, great prices too!

The directions are very easy to follow on the website, and the blocks are substantial. They did get broken in transit but (I thought) they mashed back together. I let them rest for about a week, then refrigerated for 48 hours. When I went to soak the blocks, they literally fell apart in my mud sink. I only soaked for 20 minutes. The blocks aren't solidly colonized, so they don't hold together. IMO, either wait until your blocks are mature to ship, or let your patrons know that the block is going to need MUCH additional time (3-4 weeks) to completely colonize before putting it to fruit, and include that in the directions explicitly. There's no way I will get fruit from the mush that was left. Very sad that I spent almost 80$ for nothing.

I can’t compliment George of Hernshaw Farms enough! To say that he’s generous is an understatement! He puts the customer first, even when that costs the business money. As for the product, his fruiting blocks produce mushrooms well. He’s very responsive to messages. You definitely won’t be disappointed if you buy from Hernshaw Farms.
