Our products are produced in a facility that processes peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, milk, crustacea, wheat and soybeans.
Are your products organic?
We are not certified as a warehouse to package organic products.
What is the shelf life of herbs and spices?
Herbs and Spices should be stored in a cool, dark place in an airtight container.
~Ground spices can be stored up 2-3 years.
~ Dried herbs can be stored up 6 months - 1 year.
~Whole spies can be stored 3-4 years
~Spice blends can be stored 1-2 year
~Teas can be stored for 2 year
~Salts and peppercorns have an indefinite shelf life
~Flavored Sugars never really expire however textures may change if exposed to moisture and/or heat.
To test if your herbs and spices, etc. are still good, rub a small amount between your fingers. If the scent is faint, nonexistent or putrid, throw it out. If the original color has changed, its best to throw it out. If you have to use a larger amount to get flavor, its time to replace it.
How are your products packaged?
Our dry products like seasonings, salts, sugars, baking mixes, etc. are packaged in windowed, resealable paper bag pouches that are labeled as required by law and completely safety sealed for your protection.
Our olive oils and hot sauces are packaged in glass bottles and our jams, butters and honeys are packaged in glass jars. All are labeled as required by law and sealed for your safety.
Our wing sauces and condiment sauces are packaged in plastic bottles that are labeled as required by law and a safety sealed for your protection.
All items are packaged in food grade packaging and all of our products are made in a facility that is health department certified and meets FDA requirements.
Wholesale availability
We can offer wholesale prices to businesses with a valid Certificate of Authority. We offer low MOQs: 5lb min. on spice blends, 6lb min. on flavored sugars and salts, 12 bottle min. on any sauce. Wholesale customers are required to sign NDA. Please message via Etsy Convo to order or for questions.
Is there anything else that customers should be aware of?
Yes.
Highly Flavored Spice Company have a very effective Quality Control Management Plan in place that allows our customers to receive superior products. Some examples of the measures in place include Pre-Production Inspections, Active/During Production Stage Inspections, After Production/Pre-packaging Quality Checks, Pre-shipment and packed for shipment piece by piece Inspections.
For quality assurance, verification and documentation, all orders above an undisclosed dollar amount threshold/item count amount threshold are video-recorded while being packed for shipment, start to finish. We also video-recording the entire process of packing breakable items. This allows us to thoroughly investigate all claims of missing or damaged items.
How are orders shipped?
All orders are shipped with USPS using First Class Mail or Priority Mail depending on factors like weight. All orders are tracked and insured.
Dry items like seasoning blends, sugar, salts, etc. are shipped in poly bubble mailers that are waterproof and tear resistant with self-adhesive tamper proof closure. A larger order of dry items may be shipped in flat-rate or non USPS branded corrugated box depending on total weight. Items like oils and sauces that packaged in bottles, are shipped in corrugated boxes that pass rigorous Edge Crush Tests. The appropriate sized box is used with more than enough insulation and quality packing materials to prevent damage during transit.
What should I do if my order is marked as delivered but I didn't get it or shows up damaged.
For packages marked as delivered but missing, wait 24-48 hours then contact your local post office to locate it; ask family members if they brought it inside; ask neighbors if the package was accidentally delivered to them. If you can't find it, fill out a missing mail report on USPS.com. If you suspect theft, file a missing mail report with your local police as this is a crime. Your order will only be refunded if you provide a report number.
If your package shows up damaged & you suspect the contents are ruined, refuse delivery. If the carrier has left, write "REFUSED" on the package & leave it in your mailbox for carrier retrieval. If you find damage after opening, please take detailed pictures then message Jan. No refunds without proof.
