Announcement   Hand Knit Socks to make your toes wiggle in delight and other wares. See a color you like or need a different fit? Feel free to ask for custom sizing and color.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my little shop. I have been knitting since 2006 and have absolutely fallen in love with the craft. I also crochet on the side to keep things interesting. I am a wife and mother from Michigan until early 2012 when we moved to Husband's home state of New York. As you can see I enjoy knitting socks, but I do work on other items that will be added as they are finished.

About

Renewed Ambitions

I have been knitting since 2006 and after learning how to do scarves I thought I was on top of the world. I had made a good handful of scarves and a couple hats and attempted to sell them. After 2 months and only selling 1 item I was a little more than discouraged. I closed up "shop" and put knitting on the back burner. After a brief hiatus my needles came out of hibernation and I was determined to learn new skills and improve my work. I still have the box of original items I thought I could sell, and after stepping back from them and looking at them from a little more experienced point of view I now understand why they didn't sell. They were horrid! I can't help but laugh.

In search of something new to learn I tackled the task of sock knitting. After my first sock I was hooked and just increased my love for the craft. It was soon after I had received an email from the owner of our local yarn shop who also runs the knitting group I attended. I was absolutely excited when I seen that she had referred me to a gentleman looking for hand knit socks for his wife. We set up a meeting, I brought a handful of socks I have done to be examined and there on the spot asked for 3 pair to be made as well as bought a pair of infant socks that I had already made. I got to work and when I was finished I had shown them off to coworkers with joy. Another surprise... My boss ordered 4 pairs on the spot.

And with the encouragement of family and friends I have decided to try my hand once more with selling my hand knits. I have a young son and any extra money brought in to help make his life better is wonderful motivation and if it happens to be something I absolutely enjoy at the same time then all the better. I have a few sales under my belt from word of mouth and hope to expand my horizons with the use of internet sales.

I am a wife and mother who finds great comfort in knitting and crocheting. I decided to learn to knit in 2006 to try something new and the more I looked into the craft the more I fell in love with the creativity and beauty it had to offer.

Shop policies

Welcome to my little shop of knits. My name is Julie and these are my labors of love. There is no greater reward than to see someone wearing an item that I have knit and seeing a happy look upon their face. The sheer beauty of the craft is enough to want to share with the world how two sticks and a length of yarn can create intricate works of wearable art. I do all my work in a smoke free environment with the support of my husband and son, the latter loving to help pick out new colors for me to try. I do hope that you take the time to look around and perhaps find something that you, or a friend, might like.
