Your ukulele will be painted with an acrylic paint and/or paint pen designed for multi-surface use & sealed with 3 coats of clear acrylic finish. This will protect your design from normal use provided you treat your ukulele as you would any other wooden instrument. Don’t get it wet or play while wearing heavy lotions, such as sunscreen & never leave any ukulele in a hot car.

Ukuleles are strung with nylon strings & new nylon strings stretch. A lot. Upon completion of the design, I will replace the strings and play your ukulele as a quality check. Then I will loosen the string tension for shipping. When you receive your ukulele, you will need to tighten the strings to gCEA. Over the first several days, you will need to continue tightening the strings as they stretch. Once they settle in, your ukulele will hold a tune very well & will only require occasional slight adjustments. See my listings if you would like to add a case & electronic tuner to your order.
