Binding with Love

As far back as I can remember writing sentences, I've been keeping some form of diary or journal. I write about my life, secret hopes and dreams for my future... I love to keep memories. I’m attached to moments, people, dates, smells, photography and all of the details that sum up and make me who I am.

My interest in bookbinding started when I noticed that I couldn’t find a journal for the year with enough pages in it. I started to write on loose sheets and planned to bind them all together when the year had finished. As I thought about that process, I could have found someone to bind it for me, but then that person would have been able to read my journal, and all of the personal things I had written in it…

I studied Graphic Design during college in Brazil and have always liked anything related to paper, photography and the arts. In 2011 I took my first bookbinding class and that's when I discovered a whole new love that evolved into something much bigger than I could have imagined. The more I learned about bookbinding, the more I wanted to know. It was so fascinating for me to get pages and make them into a book! I practiced a lot, making books for myself, friends and anyone interested. I took classes with other bookbinders in Sao Paulo and then New York after moving to the states. With every book I make, I learn something new. I am always seeking to expand my knowledge, learn different techniques and try new things.

In Brazil I had a successful online store for a couple of years and loved making custom books for my clients. After moving to the United States in 2013, I kept binding, but mostly for fun and those who already knew that was what I did. I've enjoyed exploring various states and experiencing so many new things here over the last couple of years. Now, I'm excited to be starting a new adventure on Etsy and sharing with you my passion of bookbinding! Each book is made with love in Provo/Utah, where I enjoy a breathtaking view of the Wasatch Mountains.

Thanks for visiting my store! I hope you find what you are looking for, and if not, I'd love to do a custom order for you. Feel free to shoot me an email and I’ll do my best to make your book dreams come true!

Additional policies and FAQs
Characteristically leather is going to be slightly imperfect at times. This is a natural material, so these aren't to be considered flaws, but unique traits of each piece.

Most of the paper used within the books is hand torn, and meant to not be perfectly cut. This is another intentional characteristic of the book.

I usually take the pictures in natural lighting and do my best to keep the color as close to the actual product as possible.

I hope you enjoy your purchase!
