Such a beautiful diary! The quality is very impressive. Samandra was also very communicative along the way, which made me feel much better since it its an anniversary present!

What amazes me about this book is how sturdy it is. I'm used to journals bending easily and receiving a few tears from being in my bag, but this book is nothing like that. It's incredibly well crafted and put together.

The diary is beautiful. The binding is excellent and the leather is of a high quality. The paper is thick enough to allow a fair amount of ink without bleed-through, and the journal is fairly thick as well, it has a lot of pages in it and looks very nice on a shelf. I got it as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend, and she loves it and writes in it regularly.
I was also very impressed with the shop owner herself, she was happy to answer any questions, kept in touch throughout the process, and was understanding with special requests. I would highly recommend this item as well as the rest of the shop.

I bought this journal/diary for my 13 year old niece. The price seemed a bit high at first glance, but i wanted her to have something that was a quality product, she would want to keep forever, and was handmade. Samandra achieved all 3, so i think it was well worth it. My niece, who barely texts me 2 words at a time, wrote a long and genuine note to me thanking me for the gift. That itself was worth 5 stars. I also received very prompt and kind responses to my questions. Overall a great crafter and seller.

Binding with Love
As far back as I can remember writing sentences, I've been keeping some form of diary or journal. I write about my life, secret hopes and dreams for my future... I love to keep memories. I’m attached to moments, people, dates, smells, photography and all of the details that sum up and make me who I am.
My interest in bookbinding started when I noticed that I couldn’t find a journal for the year with enough pages in it. I started to write on loose sheets and planned to bind them all together when the year had finished. As I thought about that process, I could have found someone to bind it for me, but then that person would have been able to read my journal, and all of the personal things I had written in it…
I studied Graphic Design during college in Brazil and have always liked anything related to paper, photography and the arts. In 2011 I took my first bookbinding class and that's when I discovered a whole new love that evolved into something much bigger than I could have imagined. The more I learned about bookbinding, the more I wanted to know. It was so fascinating for me to get pages and make them into a book! I practiced a lot, making books for myself, friends and anyone interested. I took classes with other bookbinders in Sao Paulo and then New York after moving to the states. With every book I make, I learn something new. I am always seeking to expand my knowledge, learn different techniques and try new things.
In Brazil I had a successful online store for a couple of years and loved making custom books for my clients. After moving to the United States in 2013, I kept binding, but mostly for fun and those who already knew that was what I did. I've enjoyed exploring various states and experiencing so many new things here over the last couple of years. Now, I'm excited to be starting a new adventure on Etsy and sharing with you my passion of bookbinding! Each book is made with love in Provo/Utah, where I enjoy a breathtaking view of the Wasatch Mountains.
Thanks for visiting my store! I hope you find what you are looking for, and if not, I'd love to do a custom order for you. Feel free to shoot me an email and I’ll do my best to make your book dreams come true!

Additional policies and FAQs
Most of the paper used within the books is hand torn, and meant to not be perfectly cut. This is another intentional characteristic of the book.
I usually take the pictures in natural lighting and do my best to keep the color as close to the actual product as possible.
I hope you enjoy your purchase!
