About

Intricate beadwork jewellery designs, with a sprinkle of sparkle...

I discovered beading about seven years ago. Having been experimenting with making my own jewellery, I bought a magazine which had a gorgeous beadwork bracelet on the front cover. I ordered seed beads, a needle and thread, and then started beading - I haven't stopped since!

I love the intricate nature of beadwork. It is so satisfying to take a few handfuls of tiny beads and turn them into a wearable work of art. Seed beads and crystals come in all the colours of the rainbow, and I enjoy both trying new colours and palettes, as well as returning to my favourite shades (purples, silvers and teals/blue-greens rate highly on my 'favourite colours' list).

There is always something new to learn with beading, new stitches evolving and new bead shapes to experiment with. My ever-growing bead stash is testament to that fact!

As well as making larger beadwork creations, I also aim to create a selection of beaded jewellery designs which are wearable day-to-day, combining more tradtional beadwork techniques with wire-wrapping and other mediums. I have been a participant in the Battle of the Beadsmith competition in 2014 and 2015 and reached the finals of the British Bead Awards on three separate occasions. My jewellery designs have been published in the UK in Bead and Jewellery Magazine and Beads & Beyond.
