Received this item as promised. Very nicely made, sturdy. Only draw back the gloves are a little snug. My husband really needs them so I am hopeful with time the gloves will stretch . Over all a good purchase.

About

Gourmet gifts and exquisite textiles handmade locally, shipped globally everyday.

Hello to you, I'm Kallista Bolton owner/designer, welcome to my shop. Homegrown & Handmade gourmet & textile gifts are all individually handmade to order by myself from my boutique olive grove in southern Western Australia. I make beautiful, useful and wholesome items for heartfelt gifting. All pieces are carefully made in the quiet of my cottage studio or nearby commercial kitchen. Our small crop of olive oil grows sustainably using biodynamic principles, my wholefood cookie mixes are recipes I designed to nourish my own family and my textiles reflect a belief that even everyday items made with a beautiful aesthetic enrich our daily lives.

I opted out of a hectic career in Sydney in search of a simple life in the country. Along with my husband and our three children, we found our slice of heaven in the shape of a 10 acre olive farm in country Western Australia. Here we live in our little white weatherboard cottage surrounded by our horses, dogs, majestic trees and ample calm, quiet space.

My Homegrown & Handmade venture evolved early 2010 from my desire to work from home at this important stage in my life as a parent. Fusing my accumulated skills from University business study, cooking and sewing skills learned from my mother, real work place regional marketing experience with a bit of resourcefulness, I have a creative enterprise that fit's snugly alongside motherhood.

Far from my early career with a global accounting firm in Sydney's tallest sky scraper, I find the stillness in hand crafting items slowly with focus and care the most fulfilling work I have ever done. It is immensely nourishing to create a product completely from scratch, from concept, to picking raw materials, its look and attributes, sourcing packaging, photographing it for market to be spotted and purchased by someone, wrapping carefully and shipping for a deadline.

I love the direct connection collaborating with clients. I love the feeling of progress that comes via constantly refining my products and methods for quality. I love how engaged and accountable I feel to my clients because they have chosen to spend their precious funds with me. I love the feeling of commitment I make to every order and the satisfaction I feel on completion, knowing I’ve done the very the best I could, as if it was a gift for my own friends. I could go on….
